Lactation consultants at the Breastfeeding Center helped me overcome a vast number of obstacles in order to breastfeed my daughter comfortably. They are compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. The free classes are an incredible resource for moms, not only with breastfeeding support but also as a place to meet other moms facing the challenge of adjusting to a newborn. The back to work and pumping classes, also free, were jam-packed with helpful information and extremely well-run by Pat. This center is a gem. So many mothers give up breastfeeding because they don't have support. In D.C. we are so blessed that expert support is just a phone call away.
