I received a phone call for someone looking for "Emma". I told them that they have the wrong number. The lady on the phone then tells me that maybe I can help her. She goes into this spiel for the charity "Breast Cancer Outreach Foundation" and asking if I would be willing to donate. I tell her to send me some information so that I may review it and if it is to my satisfaction, I will donate. Both of my grandmothers have had breast cancer (both in remission now) so this disease hits home. I get the letter today and start googling this organization. It sounds like this is very common for their call center to use this technique of rattling off some name when someone answers their call. That's when they proceed with the "well maybe you can help me then" crap. This type of practice is a red flag and "no-go" in my book. I continued to look into this company and looked at their 2015 990 form filed with the IRS (there wasn't a 2016 available yet). The had donated $3,932,599 in 2015. They raised over $5,337,415 that year. What seems very sketchy to me is that they promote all the vaccines they are helping with and how wonderful things are. But they only donated $8,235 to the Cleveland clinic and the remaining $3,924,364 to a company in the "Caribbean". I'm not making this up as it is open to the public on their 990. It seems very sketchy that they are donating so much to a pharmaceutical company in the Caribbean for $3.9+ million dollars. This charity has also been in trouble for deceptive practices in the past. If you're primarily raising money for foreign research, then be upfront with it and tell people that most of your funding goes overseas and not to our own here stateside. One of the other things I noticed when I stumbled on this site and saw the negative review was that there was almost a 1 for 1 1 star to 5 star. I really really don't think the 5 star reviews are real. They are fake just trying to raise their rating. If they didn't do things so sketchy then they wouldn't have to write fluff reviews to make themselves look better. They should really be careful throwing around military titles on their website as it is not allowed for a military official, officer at that, to use their title when promoting any charity. I will put my donation to a less sketchy foundation.

I was receiving harassing calls about a year or so ago from a Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Those calls finally stopped after I called a local breast cancer program near me and complained. Recently, I received a call for this organization "Breast Cancer OUTREACH Foundation" from the "person" I remember from the first organization. I know because, after all the calls one doesn't forget. The reviewers here are describing the same tactics I endured. The calls I received, ( I finally concluded) were non-human. A computer generated voice that only understands "click".

Received a call from a telemarketer who was persistent about making a minimum pledge that I did not agree to. Subsequently received a pledge invoice with an amount pledged filled in.
I noticed on this site that the highest ratings are all listed as "Orlando, FL" where the the organization is based which makes me even more suspect about this organization's credibility.

Do not donate to this organization. It's a scam! They only give 10% of your donation. They should be ashamed. The people who call are reading from a script. Ridiculous!!

I got a call from a telemarketer in December and told them I don't donate to anyone that I haven't checked out. A few weeks later I got a letter from them with a pledge amount filled out. It looks like an invoice that needs to be paid. I didn't fall for it but how many others did they prey upon and succeed with this fraudulent act? I've set the wheels in motion to file an official complaint with the State of Florida. I wish I could give a less than -0- star rating.

They had a computer call me for a donation. Less than 10% actually gets to the charity.

I have noticed a lot of reviews for this organization is related to their aggressive telemarketing agency and cold calling. It seems this has been an issue for quite some time, at least a year, so it says to me the Director is not interesting in giving his organization a good reputable name or he would have obtain a new telemarketing provider. I have been receiving calls myself and I can say I will never donate to anyone who allows aggressive, harassing fundraising tactics to be their norm regardless of how sympathetic I am to their cause. There are plenty of other breast cancer organizations which are respectful to the public and donors who can be donated to.

Checking out this charity I noticed a review of 5 stars, problem I have with that is it was written by Neil P., who is the Executive Director of the charity. Otherwise, this group did not fair very well.

Just put this scam on my blocked phone list (520.428.0184 in Tucson). When I asked questions of the caller, she said she was putting me on mute, and kept talking. Creepy and disreputable organization. I had breast cancer and donate heavily to the cause. If their sleezy callers is how Breast Cancer Outreach Foundation introduces itself to the public for fundraising, I truly question the leadership of this so called foundation.

This company is annoying and they prey on the elderly. They call many times a week and just keep calling. Please don't donate to them, they probably keep the money to hire more rude operators to hassle more elderly people!!!
