The centerpiece of the organization is the YourShoes Support Center, including the hotline at 1-800-221-2141, staffed 24/7 by real, live, trained breast cancer survivors. The organization also offers a valuable and informative website (www.networkofstrength.org), active Message Boards, teleconferences, and more. Breast Cancer Network of Strength helps empower women and men who are facing breast cancer, as well as their families and friends. I am a volunteer with the organization and I see first-hand the positive effects we have on our callers and the people who visit the website. Day or night, weekday or weekend, someone is always there to listen and understand, to offer resources and services, and to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone. We need a cure, but until then, this organization provides help and support.

Programs: Yourshoes - breast cancer network of strength has the country's only free-of-charge, confidential 24/7 breast cancer support center staffed entirely by breast cancer survivors who are certified and trained to provide information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer, with interpreters in 150 languages. Through the match program, callers can be paired with a peer counselor who shares a specific diagnosis or similar concerns. The match program also provides support and education for people while they are supporting a wife, partner or other loved one through the disease. Breast cancer network of strength's wig & prosthesis bank provides free-of-charge products for those with limited resources.
outreach - in addition to breast cancer network of strength's 24/7 yourshoes breast cancer support center which provides information and support in 150 languages, the organization publishes early detection brochures and web site content in english, spanish, chinese, hmong, korean, polish, russian, tagalog and vietnamese. Nearly all of breast cancer network of strength's patient brochures and web site content are provided in spanish and the organization publishes a bi-lingual spanish-language newsletter, latina news.
affiliate services - breast cancer network of strength's affiliates throughout the nation provide services such as support groups, early detection workshops, community education workshops, wigs and prostheses for women with limited resources, outreach to the medically underserved and advocacy on breast cancer related policies in their respective communities.
