I have volunteered at Breaking Bread for years. They served a Thanksgiving meal and a woman was taking home several plates for her family. She said “Thank y’all so much for doing this special meal because I wasn’t able to do this for my family this year and now I can.” Then she burst into tears. She said things have been real tough lately but that we had given her the gift of serving an excellent Thanksgiving dinner. Humbling. The work Breaking Bread is life changing.

Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Protestant, Religion
Mission: Our mission is to carry the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through feeding the hungry and helping those in need. We serve everyone who walks through our doors, no matter their age, sex, beliefs, background, etc. We also help our friends who live on the street - they are provided with fellowship, food, and warm clothes at no cost to themselves. The full bellies and peace of mind that we are able to provide are not possible without the financial support of our community.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We serve over 40,000 meals per year.
Programs: We feed dinner in our building Monday through Friday, breakfast to our friends who are on the streets, and dinner to several of our friends in the surrounding neighborhoods who are shut-ins.
