I had heard but now I know Bread of Life is so much more than a food pantry. It is an intentional, caring community ministering God's love and goodness in tangible ways--local food rescue, stocking shelves, packing bags, and distribution--and praying for the welfare and prosperity of all. Each person is prayed for, greeted warmly, and given food to nourish both body and soul.I've been a part of "serving the needy" with different organizations, but Bread of Life people live out loving God and neighbor--daily. They consecrate themselves to Him and their work with purpose and joy.I can't wait to be with them again. from Job 42:5 AMP "I had heard of You only by the hearing of the ear, but now my spiritual eye sees You."
The bread of life is an amazing organization. They give so much to so many people in terms of their spirit, kindness, and food. The Westchester county community is better because of this organization and all of their leaders and members.

The Bread of Life organization is amazing.
Sherri , Pasquale, Sue and their entire team of members are so dedicated to providing food and support to everyone in the area , near and far, and these efforts are making such a difference.
The impact of the Bread of Life on people and this entire community has been great and especially during this pandemic time , they are helping to feed and sustain many and we are very fortunate to have this organization here right now.
Bread of Life is an incredible charity that rescues thousands of pounds of food each month, which it distributes to hungry residents of Westchester County. My volunteer work at Bread of Life has been a very meaningful part of my life. When I started volunteering seven years ago, as a sixth grader, Bread of Life opened my eyes to both the problem of food insecurity in Westchester County and my ability to make a positive impact. I’ve been given so many ways to help —by stocking pantry shelves, assembling pantry bags, soliciting food donations, fundraising, and raising awareness about food insecurity in my school. I’m grateful to Pastor Pasquale, Sherri Falco, Sue Wexler– the most noble people I know– for welcoming me into their caring community and showing me the power of serving others.
I am so impressed with this organization! In addition to meeting the physical needs of people by providing food and clothing, the thing that impresses me most is that everyone involved works so hard to make sure that people experience the love of God.

Bread of Life is a wonderful organization that works tirelessly to bring food and other resources to help people in the community. The founders and many volunteers associated with Bread of Life demonstrate God's love for all people in need, ministering not just to physical needs for food and clothing, but also to help people know that they are loved and accepted.
I've been volunteering with Bread of Life regularly for the last year or so and have been impressed with the impact this organization has in terms of scope and scale. People not only receive food, but can also request prayer. Through a partnership with another local organization families can also receive clothing and books. Thousands of pounds of food are rescued and distributed every month, despite it being staffed by a small number of dedicated people. It is clear that Bread of Life cares about the whole person and is living out what it means to love your neighbor.

Bread of Life meets people in a holistic way: offering sustenance for the body and nourishment for the soul.
Run by a small, committed amazing group, Bread of Life offers multiple ways to volunteer, whether it's a couple of hours a month, or more frequently; whether it's on weekdays or weekends; whether it's individually or as a small group. They are well known and loved in the community and are wonderful to work with, having an impact that that goes way beyond food distribution.
The Bread of Life is a wonderful organization that provides food that is desperately needed by so many families. It is amazing to see the amount of food that Pastor Pasquale rescues each week from the stores and farm markets. His dedication and hard work on a daily basis is evident in the amount of food that is brought back to the pantry. This organization would not be able to exist without the dedicated team of volunteers who stock the shelves, make the bags to hand out, and show up on pantry day to distribute the food. You know that The Bread of Life makes a difference by looking at the grateful faces of the families in need. As a volunteer, I have enjoyed working with such a loving and caring group!

As soon as I retired as a teacher, I knew that I wanted to volunteer at the Bread of Life in Rye. I had the opportunity to learn all about this nonprofit organization from their presentations at the elementary schools. The level of caring and commitment was evident from all involved especially Pastor Pasquale who spends hours and days rescuing food from local markets to give to those in need. I have had the opportunity to help stock shelves in their pantry, put food items into bags, and provide families with food they could not afford. It does take a village to feed a community and Pastor Pasquale does a wonderful job managing his dedicated group of volunteers. It is also wonderful to see students from the local schools come to help make a difference and learn what it means to “volunteer” for those less fortunate. I will continue to support the Bread of Life and hope that others will continue to do so as well.
The Bread of Life is a wonderful organization in Rye. Our family has been involved in many different ways over the past 5 years. We volunteer at the pantry, stock shelves, pick up food from local pizza restaurants and many other ways. Pastor Pasquale and his wife Sherri are truly a blessing to all of us and the people they serve.
My whole family loves to volunteer at Bread of Life. It is wonderful for me to see the grateful community members picking up food from the pantry on Mondays, and my husband and children love to help with food drives in the community, and in putting together pantry bags and sorting food on the shelves. We are so lucky to have this organization as a part of our Rye community!
Bread of Life is such an incredible organization! They are beyond dedicated to helping solve the terrible problem of food insecurity in our community. Not only do they have their food pantry, but they rescue tens of thousands of lbs of food every week from restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and distribute it to shelters and people in need. They are also some of the kindest people I’ve ever met and have great opportunities for families to get involved!

Bread of Life is an incredible organization run by very special people who work tirelessly to provide for countless food insecure people in Westchester. My daughters and I had the pleasure of volunteering on several occasions with Bread of Life and got to see the whole operation in action - from stocking shelves, to making pantry bags, to distributing the food. It runs seamlessly but the most impressive part is the love and positivity that is shown by all the kind and compassionate volunteers of Bread of Life who give their time to make a difference in people’s lives. I am so thankful that my daughters and I are now a part of this.
I've had the great opportunity of volunteering with Bread of Life for several years. An amazing organization led by Pastor Pasquale that truly cares for everyone who comes to the pantry. Always a joy working with the rest of the team and volunteers. The impact on the community is truly immeasurable. A great way to give back to the community.
This volunteer operation has a real heart for people and goes above and beyond to provide for the needs of folks looking for food, clothing, and fellowship! Bread of Life/Giving Tree Global is the definition of “faith in action” and I love being involved with their work.

Bread of Life is truly a special organization. All who are involved, volunteers and individuals served, receive care, attention and prayers. It is a great place to volunteer
God Bless all the volunteers that make this organization run so smoothly. The Bread of Life is a wonderful food bank and so much more in our community. Pastor Pasquale does food rescues seven days a week and donates it to local soup kitchens and every two weeks holds a pantry and gives out dry goods, fresh vegetables and prepared food. All the volunteers are great to work with. My older son did his senior high school internship this past spring and learned so much and enjoyed working with everyone also. Pastor Pasquale, his wife Sherri are a blessing from God.
I have partnered with the Bread of Life since it began, giving both my time and financially. This is a hunger charity like no other, probably because of its unique founders and location. It is a place where not only food is given out, but everyone is loves and valued. The people there share the love of God in a very tangible way. They always lift each other up and never speak negatively of anyone for any reason. This is what makes them one of a kind.

Bread of Life is a true pillar in the community that goes above and beyond in serving those food insecure. They are a small team with a huge impact - not only serving a large amount of people in need, but bringing people and the community together through their service. bread of life rye is a fabulous organization! Both of my children have been fortunate enough to help b of l with a few of their events. Its amazing how giving they are! What a great way to teach your children that you can greatly effect others lives by giving some of your time. It also teaches that when you help others, you are also helpIng Yourself become a better person. I highly recommend lending a hand in anyway you can. They are amazing people that we need so desperately right now.
Bread of Life is truly unique in so many ways. My experience as a volunteer has shown me that They are a team who loves God and loves their neighbors and community. They are exemplary because they do not compete with other charities, but support them instead, delivering food free of charge to other food pantries and soup throughout southern Westchester County. They believe strongly that loving their neighbors includes loving those working for other organizations.
Bread of Life is also unique in that it is run from a private home. The founders have literally turned over their home, their vehicles, and their lives in order to love their neighbors. This makes it distinctive, not only in its mission, but also in its structure. It is remarkable that they feed thousands of the hungry on a shoestring budget. From my years of experience with Bread of Life, both the organization and its founders exemplify integrity, generosity, and moral character. Bread of Life should be looked on as an example to replicate.
Bread of Life works tirelessly to feed several thousand Westchester community members who suffer from food insecurity. As a regular volunteer, I see firsthand the effort, patience, and passion the Bread of Life team has for serving those in need, whether it be collecting donations in front of supermarkets, putting together pantry bags, or delivering those groceries to locals. Working alongside such incredibly dedicated people is very inspiring! I am glad to be working with such an impactful group.

A Blessing to all is how I think of Bread of Life. Sitting at a red light on Boston Post road I saw the Bread of Life truck. I took the number down and decided to give them a call. We started helping with food drives at the local markets on Sundays. We joined the food pantry distribution creating and handing out bags of groceries to those in need. My son then joined Pastor Pasquale on Sunday mornings to pick up boxes of food from the markets to deliver to food shelters. We have meet so many wonderful, caring and giving people who love helping others. It also provided our family with amazing experiences of helping and caring for others.
Thank you Bread of Life.

You will frequently find students volunteering their time organizing the food pantry and food drives because they love to be around those who work and volunteer at Bread of Life. I feel so blessed that my family found their way to Bread of Life and their mission.
Great food pantry! Family friendly place to volunteer--it is clear that everyone here has a heart for change and is committed to making a difference!
I started helping out mainly on the days of the food pantry, about 2 years ago. I have not only connected with a wonderful association whose members give their hearts, souls, and all their time to feed the ones in need, but I have also met wonderful people who became a family to me. I feel blessed to have them in my life, for them to have welcomed me in theirs, and to be able to give back a little . A family food pantry where everyone who comes volunteering, feels more empowered and joyful when they leave, and where the ones who need their help leave with bags of food and most importantly, with love.

As the Director of Behavioral Medicine at a Family Medicine Residency Program, it was integral to expose primary care physicians in training to an experience of learning from those that are most vulnerable; the hungry. I connected with Sue Wexler and now we have an annual tradition of volunteering during our Community Medicine Rotation; a time for our doctors to take off their white coats and foster a greater understanding of the community we work in, the health disparities that exist, and the resources that we can use to hold our patients and ourselves. This past January, I joined The Bread of Life's efforts on one of the coldest of days. All I can say is there was such warmth on such a cold day. My words cannot express the gratitude I have for all that The Bread of Life does; they nourish the community (inclusive of us) in a variety of ways! Here are some pics of us in action from last year and this....Thank you Sue, Pastor Pasqual and your amazing team; we are grateful for our collaborative efforts and action!
I was introduced to Bread of Life through a friend that is heavily involved with it. The amount of time the volunteers dedicate to the people they serve is astounding! We are very grateful for all the work they do and when we can help out we love it to! Salters family
They are such caring and devoted people who give so much of themselves and work tirelessly to help others in the community.
I discovered the Bread of Life while researching opportunities for a pre-teen volunteer group for girls. By far volunteering at the Bread of Life has been our most rewarding and enriching experience. Pastors Pat and Sherri are wonderful role models. Their dedication and efforts to make food available to those in need is awe-inspiring! They always have a smile on their faces and a kind word to say that makes those helping or receiving food feel truly wonderful. It has been a privilege to work alongside them and try to make a difference . The Bread of Life is an amazing endeavor, which has definitely had amazing results! Kris. G.
I had been looking for someplace food related to volunteer my time and had trouble finding anything. Much searching and many referrals finally led me to Bread of Life, and I am so thrilled that they did. It is well run, well organized, such a fun and pleasant place to be, and extremely impactful in the community.
I was originally introduced to Bread of Life as an initiative at the school where I work, but that first exposure to the group really pulled me in. The people who run the organization are remarkably dedicated to making a difference in the world. Since my first meeting with them, I have continued to go back to serve dinners to those in need, and I bring my 8 and 10 year old boys to package food from time to time as well. These are amazing people who do amazing things every day.

My family was looking for a chance to give back to our community and help those in need. When searching for an opportunity, Bread for Life came up in our search. We helped out at Bread for Life on Sunday's packing food bags that the organization will then distribute to those in need of help with groceries. The volunteer coordinator was an excellent communicator and made it very easy to volunteer. She recently added a "sign-up genius" account to make it even simpler to sign up. On site, the pastor who organizes the actual food pantry was extremely kind, helpful and appreciative of our efforts. It is remarkable how much time, effort, "sweat", planning and thought goes into this organization and their sincere genuine efforts to take care of those in their community. Kudos to Bread for Life!!!!
