Programs: Awareness - develop media presence around the benefits of adoption. In 2014, overall web traffic increased by 300% due to the combined efforts of an online campaign and advertising during november's national adoption month. To develop our media presence, we acknowledged birth mothers by advertising this headline on billboards (in dallas and los angeles): "thank birth mothers for national adoption month. " this messaging complimented our online "say thank you" campaign on bravelove. Org where we encouraged people to go online and thank birth mothers for the specific adoptee in their life. education - equip future birth parents and influencers with reliable content and resources. In addition to marketing efforts, the ongoing work of bravelove involves creating, curating and distributing content through various communication channels. Bravelove publishes new content on bravelove. Org (weekly), featuring new content via email (monthly), and pushing new or curated content on social media (daily). The development of an adoption resource kit project began in 2014, which is intended as an educational tool for those serving women in unplanned pregnancies. It is slated for completion in 2015.
support - - partner with like-minded resources, cultivate the birth mom community and equip them with support. Bravelove's network has been impacted by an increase in partner adoption agencies, pregnancy centers and health clinics. Additionally, more birth mothers and those impacted by adoption are inquiring about how to share their story and get involved with the organization. Partner inquiries have steadily grown. Conferences, referrals, advertising and word-of-mouth are the main avenues in which bravelove initially connects with like-minded partner organizations and individuals that can help extend this positive adoption message.
