Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: To provide opportunities for young, at-risk males to build character through youth, family and community education and support services.
Results: 2013/194 youth; 2014/654 youth; 2015/1,027 youth. On a weekly basis, B2MH works either one-on-one, or in group mentoring sessions with anywhere from 25 to 50 youth at its Friday Night Gathering Program. Through the Passport to Manhood Program, B2MH mentored over 100 youth at the Rockdale County Boys and Girls Club and worked directly with Juvenile Justice System personnel to mentor incarcerated Rockdale County youth.
Target demographics: single families and mothers in developing boys into emotionally competent, fully responsible men who are assets to their families, communities, and the generations preceding them.
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 2000 young men
Geographic areas served: Rockdale and surrounding counties
Programs: mentorship, guidance, and life skills development to young males.
