Causes: Boy Scouts of America, Children & Youth
Mission: To try and prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them values of the scout oath and law.
Programs: Camping and activities: many programs are offered by bsa to promote leadership and cooperative skills to the members of the tuscarora council of the boy scouts of america. Among the 2017 highlights were the following: the council achieved gold status under national bsa journey to excellence, the nayawin rar lodge of the order of the arrow earned the journey to excellence gold lodge award recognition, 99% of our volunteer leaders are youth protection trained, local boy scouts earned 3,201 merit badges and 92 earned the eagle scout award. There were 1,822 tiger, cub, and webelos members and 1,153 boy scout members, 57 cub scout packs, 63 boy scout troops and 6 venturing crews.
