Mission: To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the scout oath and law
Programs: The great trail council's objective is to reinforce traditional family values through the delivery of boy scout programs that will foster creativity, promote family unity, and inspire and motivate boy scouts to develop the skills that will provide the foundation needed to become productive citizens. The council achieves these objectives by serving over 9,600 youths in 305 units covering summit, portage, medina and parts of wayne county, ohio. Youth and adults were involved in camping and community service projects such as collecting over 30,000 cans of food and 9,000 bags of clothing for the needy. Over 45,000 camper nights were recorded and over 60,000 hours of youth volunteer hours were logged.
