Mission: The mission of the boy scouts of america is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the scout oath and law.
Programs: General program - to promote the scouting program - the ability of boys and young men & women to do things for themselves and others; training them in scoutcraft, citizenship, leadership, self-esteem, and personal fitness. Approximately 6,500 served.
camping - to promote the basic purpose of the scouting movement by providing an outdoor environment where young men and women can experience the basic values of the program. Approximately 9,000 served.
activities - to provide a community wide support structure to assist all volunteer adult leaders in providing meaningful special events that inspire and educate scouts beyond the resource of the local unit. Approximately 7,000 served.
