Mission: Box of rain provides mentoring and skills development programs with a maritime focus to more than 70 at-risk youth, most of whom reside in annapolis public/subsidized housing.
Programs: Maritime summer 14-day program introduced 50 annapolis youth residing in public/subsidized housing to a variety of skill-based maritime activities in a mentoring environment that included leadership training and employment for 10 box of rain teens.
skill-based mentoring programs provided workshop training on boat building, fitness, and sailing to more than 40 annapolis youth residing in public/subsidized housing.
chartering careers served more than 75 youth from disadvantaged circumstances in grades 5-12 with an after-school strengths-based curriculum that focused on social emotional learning, academic preparedness, and career readiness.
