Programs: Maintain downtown area by providing sidewalk sweeping snow removal services planting, weeding, and watering flowering baskets and painting of bollards and lightposts. Approximately 75 property owners and 200 businesses benefit
draw visitors to downtown businesses through special events held in downtown area. Four main annual events are holly days christmas tree lighting, artwalk, classics on main car show, and the farmers market.
promote shopping at downtown businesses by administering the downtown dollars program. Gift certificates sold and redeemed at any of approximately 75 businesses located in bowling green.
