Mission:
The mission of Bowen McCauley Dance is to:
- expand the boundaries of dance through the blend of classical and contemporary styles;
- present professional high-quality dance with its pioneering repertoire that integrates dance with live music onstage;
- collaborate with musicians and other artists to provide unique artistic experiences; and
- engage, educate and reach out to underserved and/or socio-economically diverse communities, including youth, seniors and persons with disabilities.
Programs: In addition to presenting dance performances for the public, BMD takes the art of dance to area schools through a lecture/demonstration program developed by the Artistic Director.
BMD is also proud to present "Dance for PD" in association with the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area. Through this program people with Parkinson Disease can participate in therapeutic movement classes at no charge.
