Programs: Btba has successfully hosted four annual boston taiwanese biotechnology symposiums (http://btbatw. Org/symposium. Html) that attracted more than 300 young professionals across the united states each year. We have been much honored to have many respected scientists as the keynote speakers. They shared their visions in biotech development in both the us and taiwan and provided career advice to young professionals. Last year (2016), we started a new session where invited start-up companies presented and shared their entrepreneurial stories. Attendees expressed extremely high satisfaction and 100% of them indicated that they will attend the symposium again this year, according to the survey. We have organized 20 workshops and panel discussions with speakers and panelists from academia and industry to discuss challenges and opportunities in different career paths. We held a career fair in 2015, which included representatives from participating companies interviewing applicants. We have held seven academic seminars where graduate students and researchers presented their research projects and attendees often brought fresh or insightful perspectives. We have organized three annual social events for participants to network in a more casual and recreational setting.
