Mission: Bringing young women with Turner syndrome together for fun, enriching experiences that foster independence and community.
Target demographics: empower and educate young women with Turner syndrome
Direct beneficiaries per year: 30+ girls attend this unique program. That doesn't include all the people who love them that were impacted by the positive impact this camp had on those young women (parents, doctors, siblings, etc)
Programs: an immersive week-long summer camp where these young women - who have faced a number of challenges related to their Turner's diagnosis - can meet each other, develop an educational and supportive community of their peers, experience independence away from home, and most importantly have fun! The Boston International Turner Syndrome Summit (BITSS) is a non-profit organization that was founded to create a fulfilling, safe, and fun summer experience for young women with Turner syndrome between the ages of 12 and 19. Our goal is to help our attendees forge new memories, friendships, and skills with other teens with TS from around the globe. BITSS hopes to start an international community to augment national and regional organizations. We provide an opportunity to meet other young women with TS from different backgrounds, countries, and continents.
