Most of us find Bo’s Place during a horrible time in our lives. When my husband died, my main concern was my 10 year old son. How could I possibly help him? Bo’s Place came highly recommended, so I immediately called and got us into the LIGHT group. Through the weekly meetings my son learned skills to deal with the loss and sadness. He was able to be around kids his own age who were going through the same experiences. The bonus was that I too was able to gain the tools needed for healing both me and my son. Sharing my story of loss and my fears with other wives and mothers was instrumental in my healing. Grief is a horrible journey, but having Bo’s Place as a guide, was a very positive experience.

I was referred to Bo's Place after I lost my husband of 17 yrs for some grief therapy for myself and my children. It was an extremely helpful process! There, we learned that we had a right to feel the way we did without any contradiction. We extended our hands to others as they did to us, comforting and sharing the pain which lightened the load and allowed us to make friends who knew EXACTLY WHERE WE WERE at that time in our lives. I truly loved the bonds we built at Bo's Place...It wasn't the end of the world; yet a fresh start and we could take whatever we wanted with us and leave the rest.
