Causes: Civil Rights
Mission: Bchrtf affirms the american principles and ideals of the inviolable dignity and worth of each human being. We recognize that everyone is equal under our state and federal constitution. Activities include presenting and supporting human rights education in bonner county, idaho; supporting anti-bullying programs and human rights education in local schools; and assisting individuals who believe their human rights have been violated.
Programs: Provided funding for production of slave girl play, provided money to sandpoint music conservatory to advance cultural exchange with youth orchestra in mexico, provided funding to washington school and sandpoint high school for pilot curriculum dealing with kalispel nation, put up display in library related to black history month, and funded model united nations project and art for human rights in local schools.
