Programs: Blue heron presented vivid live performances. There were 8 self-presented concerts including capturing music, a full day special event, and 14 concerts presented by others. The self presented concerts were attended by 2,272 people.
blue heron made and sold recordings of the ensemble. One new cd was released.
blue heron educated the public about the music and historical performances practice. Program notes written by music director scott metcalfe appear in all program books and cd booklets; a free lecture by an expert in early music occurred before each self-presented concert; a lecture/demonstration was held, at boston university, and at the university of chicago as well.
