Blossoms of Guyana is a non profit organization that has been of great help to schools in Guyana through their donations to assist the pupils of various schools. Soesdyke Primary School happens to be one of the school recipients. We received stationary in the past but in June 2022 we were blessed with three desktop computers. This will enable us to restore our Success Maker Lab which will be of great benefit to the pupils of the school. I endorsed Blossoms as a non-profit organization.
I am a Senior Mistress attached to St. Ambrose Primary School. I was made known about Blossoms of Guyana Organization through a colleague from Timehri Primary. Our schools has a population of approximately two hundred eighty pupils from the most depressing areas in Georgetown. As such reading and language post a major problem in our school. Contact was made to the organization, who then had representatives visited, discussed and shared our needs and how they can be of help. Materials such as books, organizers, magnetic letters for Grades one and two among other resources were requested. The donations were timely, we were able to refurbished the library which allowed teacher to take their classes to teach reading and other aspects of language in an area that is conducive for learning to take place. We were able to see a vast improvement in the overall results of the school's performance last school term. Much oblige to Blossoms of Guyana on behalf of head teacher and staff of St. Ambrose Primary, we appreciate what you have done for us and are looking forward to your continued support. All the best in your future endeavours.
I have been a volunteer with Blossoms of Guyana just under 5 years now, and I must say it brings me great pleasure. Blossoms of Guyana is an exceptional nonprofit organization with its main aim being to target, support and to improve literacy among disadvantaged Guyanese students through donations such as; books, computers etc. I have witnessed first hand how beneficial these donations are to the schools and to see the joy on the faces of the teachers and students are rewarding. Thank you Blossoms of Guyana for your outstanding contributions to our disadvantaged Guyanese students. Keep up the good work!
I personally have witnessed the involvement of the Blossoms of Guyana on many occasions, namely the Houston Secondary Scool library project, the computer project at St. Agnes Primary School and also their volunteering work at the Drop-In Center. I would like to say a big thank you for the kindness and support they have shown to the children of Guyana. Much appreciated.
My involvement in the Blossoms of Guyana has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. My volunteerism with this nonprofit began over a decade ago at the Georgetown Public Hospital's Paediatric Ward. There, we contributed books to the library and provided shoes, clothing and toys to the children many of whom were far away from their families. Spending time with these children and seeing their faces light up upon our arrival was so fulfilling.
Later on I tutored children at the Drop in Centre which is a home for neglected and abused children. Each afternoon I spent time helping to prepare children for their exams and completing their homework. This was an opportunity to not only provide scholastic assistance but the love and tender care that the children so desperately needed. What a joy to see these children now adults leading full, successful lives.
Amazing organization with extraordinary values and goals. It was an honor collaborating with Blossoms of Guyana.
I am grateful for coming into to contact with the Blossoms for Guyana foundation. I'm a parent of pupils of the kuru Kururu primary school on the Linden highway and we (the PTA) were in great need of a printer that could print test scripts for over 1000 children and Blossom was able to score that printer for us, they even went a step further by providing books and they also launched a feeding program providing hot meals to those who needs it the most. I've been fortunate to have a first hand look at other works that they have done such as the renovation of an entire home economics room and a library. I must say that the Blossoms for Guyana foundation has been such a blessing to the primary school in my community and the country at large and I do hope that they continue to get the founding and support they need to keep up their good works.
Blossoms of Guyana is an oversees based non profit organization that refurbished our reading room/library to cater for the existing reading challenges that were encountered at Supply Primary. In addition, they donated books for our library, a projector, two computers and a printer with the intention of creating a smart classroom and the children were able to access the teaching learning materials. Blossoms of Guyana has also indicated that they would offset the expenses for our internet bill so that the children and teacher can benefit from the online learning materials within the classroom.
I have seen Blossoms of Guyana from the very beginning and the work that they have done has been incredible. I once helped set up a computer lab for the students at St. Agnes school and that experience was incredible. I was able to give back to the school I went to when I was young in Guyana. Blossoms has also helped to renovate schools, supplemented school supplies with books and computers for libraries among other things.
Blossoms has recently donated meals to the Kuru Kuru community in Guyana, South America and has continued to support the surrounding communities. Blossoms of Guyana was started by Guyanese women wanting to give back to the country that raised them and they continue to do that year after year.
Blossoms of Guyana is a wonderful organization that I am honored to be apart of for the last year. The organization provides so many valuable resources and educational support to public schools and orphanages for children living in Guyana. It has been rewarding to see the positive outcomes and the educational impact that Blossoms of Guyana has made for each of their partner schools.
