It's very hard to put into words what Blossom means to my family. A few years ago my family moved half way across the country after just having our first child. Without any family to support us we had to build our village from the people and organizations around us.
I began attending the free Book Babies class held each Friday. It was a chance to bond with new parents experiencing the same struggles as I was. Then when I became pregnant again that same year, Blossom, their staff and all the resources they provided me were invaluable. I can truly say that prior to joining the board I had used almost all the resources they provide to their patrons. They have a fabulous lending library, full of books to support all parents' choices. They have a retail and resale boutique where you can always find a cute outfit and a great deal. Their childbirth prep classes are fun, engaging, accurate and informative. Lastly, the staff is warm and knows how to point you to just the right resource for you.
I took my journey further and joined the board in June of 2012. It has been a pleasure to serve with such an amazing group of people who provide guidance and a future for expectant and new families in the Bay Area.
