Mission: Bbr, a leader in transfusion medicine, will provide quality blood products in need, in a safe, economical, and expedient manner.
Programs: To provide a reliable source of blood and blood products to the community. Blood bank of the redwoods supplies nine local hospitals. In addition, they provide blood and blood components to the american red cross and other blood centers when possible. Blood bank of the redwoods produced approximately 24,402 units of leuko-reduced red blood cells, approximately 7,890 units of platelets, 2,227 units of fresh frozen plazma, as well as other blood components during this fiscal year.
