I want to warn you there are terrible people out there who call themselves human beings and or rescues. They disguise themselves as loving caring people. But the minute things don't go their way or they are angry at you they do terrible things, makes up lies and stories to make themselves feel better. Blissful strays is that place. They take people's animals who they have loved many many years and hang a dollar sign over their head once they are saved.
They tell you that you've cost them thousands of dollars when they asked you to not put them down over lack of funds. They dont work out payment plans then lie to people and tell your friends they offered plans and you denied. Then rehabilitate the animal and bash you for what you could not do financially. Now the reason I got a new dog which i shouldnt have to explain but I will I was absolutey heartbroken I wouldnt get yankee back my home was lonley I have had a dog in my home all my life not to mention my little girl loved yankee. My fiance bought him for us with his hard earned money just like he paid all of yankeesmedical bills over the years so that explains that. I urge you do Your research. There are great rescues and resources out there that will not only help you but your animal. Because that's what rescuing is about not about the money but the dog getting the care it needs. I will not speak foul of the doctor at westend veterinary in newburgh he was kind and sweet however he should completely dismiss any association with Blissful strays from his buisness and not allow this nonsense to go on. I'm not here to get my dog back because god knows the selfish woman would never give him back to me even in a payment plan. As she took Woody another chihuahua from his family and they were ready to pay. But don't bash people on the internet and not expect bad feedback from the public. You can delete your page and everything you said to me but remember what you say on the internet will never be perminately deleted.

Allegations that rescue pets are taken from for-profit vet clinic operated by same person who runs Blissful Strays. Practices may run afoul of the law and possibly constitute theft and extortion. Be careful with donations.
