Mission: The bitter root cultural heritage trust is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the arts and the historic and cultural heritage of our valley. We pursue our work through education, collaboration, program offerings, and community engagement.
Programs: Artrageous:: the artrageous all-arts festival has been created showcases and helps develop the bitterroot creative economy. The long-term goal of the artrageous festival is to support the identity of the bitterroot as a 'place of art', where locals and travelers alike are able to interact with artists, but art, learn about art, enjoy art, hear and watch art, eat art. Www. Bitterrootartrageous. Org www. Bitterrootarts. Org :: bitterrootarts. Org provides a platform for artists and arts organizations of the bitterroot valley to share information about themselves, their work, upcoming events and more. It is a resource for visitors and the community and an engine for the economy. The montana department of commerce, office of tourism provided a grant of 26,225 to build the site. Bitterroot via :: vintage, interior design, and antiques & collectibles printed 2014 guide, facebook page, and website www. Bitterrootvia. Org . This project helped shine a light on another robust segment of our local creative economy. This industry is ideally suited to cross market as goods are totally unique. 3500 copies were printed and distributed and a 2015 version is in the planning. We are working with advertisers and local tourism marketing organizations to post a pdf copy of the guide for even wider distribution, especially to visitors before they arrive.
