Our granddaughter has been going to Bit-By-Bit for several years and we have been so pleased with her progress. She is nine years old now and the equine therapy she receives has helped her develop better core strength and balance as well as sitting independently. The staff are always friendly, helpful and informative and have provided additional resources for our daughter. We are so grateful for all the positive experiences Bit-By-Bit offers and would like to highly recommend them to others. It has been a valuable learning experience for our granddaughter.

My son has been here for a year and a half. He started out doing hippotherapy and progressed to riding lessons. Everytime he is on the horse he amazes me. He has been very driven to reach each new milestone, and his instructors do an amazing job of getting them there. They understand the particular challenges these riders face and do an excellent job explaining with more than just words. He has accomplished things at Bit-by-bit that he never would have in a therapeutic environment or at another barn.

My daughter has received therapies at Bit by Bit for several years now and the staff has always been kind, helpful and professional, not just in regard to the direct services provided but also in terms of linking us to other potentially helpful resources in the community. I have also found the therapies provided at Bit by Bit to be the most helpful and beneficial of all the different therapies my child has received over the years. Obviously the horses are very gentle and interacting with them has helped my daughter develop many skills, but I also appreciate that she interacts with various staff members and volunteers and gets to be outside and enjoy nature and fresh air while working hard at PT, OT and Speech. Physically the therapies have helped her to develop improved core strength and have helped her to sit independently which she previously was not able to do. I really can’t say enough positive things about Bit by Bit as an organization and I am grateful to have them as an important part of the community.

I strongly recommend Bit by Bit for anyone that may need their services. I first learned about Bit by Bit several years ago while serving on the Board of a partner Foundation. Since then, I spent quite some time observing sessions and now my wife & I volunteer at the facility. Denise the the entire team are professional, friendly, and most importantly... compassionate! My wife had a severe traumatic brain injury 3 years ago and her prognosis was uncertain at best. We used every resource available to help her recover including PT, OT, and speech therapy 3 days a week for about a year. Towards the end of that first year, she stopped responding to her therapy and her therapists discharged her and recommended recreational therapy. As soon as the pandemic restrictions allowed, we enlisted the help of Bit-By-Bit Medical Therapeutic Riding Center.
Bit-By-Bit has been a blessing for my wife and our family. When she first started with Bit-By-Bit she was barely ambulatory and could not even get up off our couch without assistance. The professionals at Bit-By-Bit have helped her significantly improve her core strength, coordination, and initiative. Now she can stand up on her own and is still improving her ability to a number of things she was unable to do when we started. Most importantly, Bit-By-Bit has given our family hope that my wife will be able to live a better life despite her challenges.
I can not recommend Bit-By-Bit enough to any family that could possibly benefit from recreational therapy. The staff and the facilities are amazing.

Bit by Bit Medical Therapeutic Riding Center is an extraordinary place. As a member of the board and a parent, I cannot rave enough about this place. I have seen the impact that horse therapy (Hippotherapy) has on a child struggling with mobility issues, ADHD, anxiety, autism and more. I have been a contract therapist with Bit-By-Bit for 2 years and the program manager for 1 year. Bit-By-Bit impacts so many people's lives throughout the lifespan by providing adaptive riding lessons, recreational riding, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or physical therapy with the use of a horse. In my time there I have seen hundreds of clients be positively impacted by what Bit-By-Bit does. I could not recommend them enough!
My son has been receiving therapeutic riding services for almost 2 years with the very talented staff at Bit by Bit riding center. He adores his therapists, the horses, and even the administrative team as all members are hands on-working to make this therapeutic experience effective and fun for the riders. My son is 4 years old and diagnosed with cerebral palsy and developmental delays. We have seen a huge improvement in his posture since riding but more importantly in his confidence level. He's so proud of himself after each lesson. We are so grateful for the service that Bit by Bit therapeutic riding center provides!!!!
I have been volunteering for Bit By Bit for 1 & 1/2 years & what they give to their students is beyond words, witnessing the students overcome their physical & mental limitations with the magical therapy of horseback riding while receiving professional therapy is beyond remarkable & then some. Week after week the students grow so much in so many ways & they are just so excited to be there & ready to ride their horse, mostly oblivious that they are getting therapy! What Bit By Bit does is so inspiring I am now in trainIng under Bit By Bit's supervision to be a PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, so not only do they change the students lives but also everyone involved in their program! And then there are their special therapy horses that are not only well taken care of but so tuned in & responsive to each student's needs, makes them so special too. I could not be prouder to be part of this organization & help serve the benefits that their services their students, parents, therapists, volunteers & staff offer.
Bit by Bit is an incredible program, run by hard working and dedicated horse people, volunteers, and therapists. The positive change seen in every child after a little or a lot of time in this program is heartwarming and nothing short of a miracle! I am the Program Manager at Bit By-Bit Therapy. I can not say enough about how many Children and Adults lives have been impacted by our organization. We do approximately 400 sessions a month. Not only do the clients and their parents see significant improvemment in many areas including physical and mental well being. But our wonderfull Volunteers are continually impressed by the progress of all our clients..Bit By Bit is truely a holisitic approach to the special needs population we serve in our area.
I am a therapist at BIt by Bit and I can truely say that is is a unique and excellent program. Being able to treat the patients in an enviroment that is tranquil, therapeutic and most of all caring has had such good outcomes on all the patients and clients. They respond so much faster and learn new routines because we are set up to do our job so well. THe horses are well taken care of and in turn can respond to the clients needs. I have worked in many setting as a therapist and I am proud to be part of this organizationa and know the community benefits from everything that is done. It is my honor to serve as a board member for this great non-profit organization. The Therapists, volunteers and all those involved have the biggest hearts in the world, The programs for disabled children and veterans are second to none. Words cannot describe the looks on the children's faces when they learn new tasks and love the horse they are riding. There is no program better to bring health, excercise and physical therapy to the clients and patients of this great organization.
Bit By Bit has an awsome veterans therapy program. I not only volunteered to help with this program i participated in the program. It helps returning warriors adapt back into civilian life, reduce stress and heal injurys. The staff is amazing.
This is the best veteran program i have seen and i have seen alot of them.

My son has severe adhd and anxiety problems.... he hates to go to his traditional OT and PT appointments, but he loves to go to his hborse therapy sessions, and even chooses them over classmates' birthday parties. just wish they had more horses for Big Boys.

My son has cerebral palsy and receives hippo therapy to help him in many different areas. This is his favorite therapy, and i don't even think that he realizes that it is therapy. The staff and horses have helped him both verbally and physically. I'm thankful for the service they provide us.

Bit by Bit has changed the life of my Family, My Daughter started volunteering for Bit By BIt about 9 months ago and it has been such a wonderful and positive experience, it is not only remarkable all the dedication and hard work that is put into making these children smile and bring such happiness to there lives I think it is amazing that the volunteers get to be involved in these priceless smiles. My Daughter loves the children and she is always happy to be at the ranch to assist. Bit by Bit and the staff are wonderful and loving , caring individuals and I am so glad that we got to become a part of the team. Bit-By-Bit Therapeutic Riding Center has helped hundreds of special needs children and adults in south Florida...like mine! What a huge boon for our local community that these amazing therapists and instructors have created 3 barns in Broward County where families with special needs can go to get medical treatment, have fun with the horses, and enjoy beautiful Florida nature. The staff of Bit By Bit are amazing!!! Sue is an amazing physical therapist and I am glad to see all the training the Bit By Bit puts into their staff and horses. The Pompano Sand N Spurs barn is gorgeous and we love the breeze from the beach. I would say if you have a child with a disability that Bit-by-Bit should be your FIRST CHOICE for therapy. I am also excited that they have begun to offer speech therapy also in addition to PT and OT. My daughter has progressed sooo much in the past few months because of them, that our doctor can hardly belive it! Our daughter is in love with Gypsy the horse. What a pretty girl! I am going to start taking lessons also with BBB so that I can learn to ride with my child. Hopefully one day I can buy my daughter a horse of her own!
