The volunteers at Birthright are very kind, helpful, and supportive. They are able to assist mothers in need of diapers, wipes, and clothes.
This is a great nonprofit organization for women. The volunteers treat clients with kindness and compassion. They are knowledgeable in existing government programs that provide access to healthcare and support.
This organization really helped my neighbor with baby clothes and diapers. It is so nice to see a non profit organization help so many people in need.
I participated in a Baby Shower for Birthright. Our church hosted a baby shower to support this nonprofit. What a fun way to help our community. There are so many families in need these days and this group really helps out. If you want to help your community help support this nonprofit.
Birthright of Brentwood is an excellent community service for pregnant women and women with young children. They provide free pregnancy tests, maternity clothes, baby clothes up to 24 months, layette items, diapers, wipes, blankets, community resources and friendship counseling.
These ladies really helped me out! They were able to get help me get supplies to get me through until my check came. They made me feel better and understood what I was going through. They even helped me figure out where I could get groceries.
This group of volunteers provides a very needed community service. What I like is that my donation goes to help those that need help, not to pay a salary. This group is made up of ALL VOLUNTEERS.
The volunteers are so caring and helpful. I needed help with Maternity clothes and they had what I needed. They also let me have some baby clothes so I will be ready when my son arrives. They helped relieve some of the pressure I was feeling.
My mother was involved in Pro-Life movement beginning in the early 1970s. And she instilled those values in me from an early age. But by the time I reached high school, and being male, I was challenged for that veiw point; being often told "the pro-life movement is all about "no", but offers nothing to help women who don't have abortions"
Then, beginning in the early 2000s, my mother became involved with Birthright of Brentwood, (in northern) CA.
What I love about Birthright is that it is both Pro-Life, and that it helps support women through birth, and through to the child's second birthday. It does this in partnership with other organizations, both state government and private.
Further, the majority of women coming to Birthright are often married and with other children. It is their husbands who are pushing them, against their will, towards abortions. And many of these women are in abusive situations. Birthright works with shelters to house these women, and their childern, through the birth of their baby. Day Care, Housing, and even school to help these women better themselves. Also, should the women decided to give up their newborns for adoption, Birthright helps facilitate this by working, again in partnership, with organizations.
So instead of Birthright simply being part of the "no" to abortion, they are also the "yes" to so many pro-life possibilities for the mother, the family, and especially the newborn.
And what I love most about Birthright is that they do all of this without tax-payer assistance. It is all done with donations; financial and material (baby clothes, diapers, and clothing for older siblings, and mothers, too).
