Overall the place is clean and well organized. You could tell that they interact with all the birds, and put lots of effort into doing it. The volunteers are great and consistent. And especially since I've been volunteering, you learn something new each time you go. In general it's just an amazing establishment.
I volunteer there and the birds there are always clean, well fed, and the owner of bird gardens always interacts with them. I love volunteering there becuase the birds are cute and funny and becuase it is a way to relax for me.
They truly put the animals first and all have such big hearts. Love my time volunteering here with these wonderful people and birds!
Best place in the world to find peace. All around excellent. Dedicated people who devote their life to the wellbeing of each animal.
The Bird Gardens of Naples is a hidden gem. I thoroughly enjoyed a tour of the gardens. The care taker, Kerriellen, Is extremely knowledgable in caring for these beautiful birds. She shared so many interesting facts about each parrot species. The birds seemed very happy in their large aviaries which were kept very clean. The aviaries are set in a very natural environment with lush trees and foliage. If you enjoy nature and parrots, this is a must see in Naples.
I was so taken by the Bird Gardens that I am now a regular volunteer.
I have been volunteering at the Bird Gardens for over two years. The place is kept clean and beautiful. The birds that are in cages have them cleaned out EVERY DAY. The birds all have filtered water and pellets for food. They are also given fruits and veggies. There are daily tours of the grounds where the guests are educated about the birds. This is the source of their donations but the owners have always supplemented with their personal funds when necessary. I have not ever met more dedicated people than, not only the owners, but the group of volunteers working here.
My family and I decided to visit and do the tour. What an amazing experience we had. Our tour guide was Paul and he was just so sweet, kind and extremely knowledgeable. Weeks later we decided to go back and adopt 2 Sun Conures. These birds have been nothing but a blessing to us! We highly recommend all interested in adapting or fostering to take the tour first. You just learn so much! Thank you all at Bird Gardens of Naples for a wonderful experience and for the lovely addition to our family!!!
I have volunteered at and used the services of The Bird Gardens of Naples. They provide an excellent home for parrots and occasionally have parrots that need to be in a home as a companion parrot. The owners are extremely qualified to run the sanctuary and are very caring about these beautiful birds. I learned so much while volunteering.

My parrots are so happy here! We have been coming here for almost three years and have watched it grow and flourish. The owners are so knowledgeable about birds and their every need. It is a very natural environment with gorgeous native plants and natural settings. Anyone who takes the tour will be amazed by the information imparted by the owners. It is a fantastic photo opportunity as well. It is also a good place to volunteer and learn more about the various species in general and to find a friend in one of the specific birds who you can virtually adopt. This means you can help pay for their food and care and get updates on your special feathered friend.
Kerri and her team are amazing! We were able to adopt our feathery friend Kiwi from them. They made the whole experience seamless. They truly love all the animals they care for.
I was amazed at the number and variety of parrots at the Bird Gardens of Naples. Everyone that's involved with this organization deserves a huge pat on the back for the work they do. Thank you for giving these beautiful creatures the love they deserve.
Great place to visit. Love to see the parrots in such a natural setting. Tour guide is very good at explaining the different parrots and their wants and needs. If you are ever in Naples be sure and take one of the tours at Bird gardens. It’s a treat for the whole family and I can’t wait to go back

I visit Bird Gardens of Naples whenever I go to Florida. I take the tour they provide and am intrigued by the knowledge of the tour leader. Going in the aviaries and feeding or handling the parrots is a pretty awesome experience. Can’t wait to visit again
Bird Gardens of Naples is FANTASTIC. Keri and her volunteers have made Bird Gardens an oasis for parrots who have found themselves in need of a place to call home. They are well fed, vetted, have plenty of toys, beautiful flights, ... It is a wonderful place to visit for both fun and education. Thanks for all you do!

Legitimate parrot rescues/sanctuaries are few and far between, but fortunately this is one! There isn't anyone that Keri at Bird Gardens of Naples wouldn't help in any given situation. Time after time, I have seen her step in and take care of the birds and their people in any way, shape, or form necessary. This sanctuary is solely funded by Keri's hard work and dedication and she spends countless hours working as a waitress to provide for all the birds under her care. Bird Gardens of Naples is well on their way to making a huge impact on the lives of both parrots and parrot people, but needs the support to continue on their mission. If you find yourself in the Naples area, be sure to look them up and pay them a visit. You will be glad you did!
One of the best parrot rescues in the United States. Every bird is loved and handled. The director knows each bird and they all respond to her. When you take a tour of the sanctuary it is so much more than you expect, you get educated on each species and treated to hands on with certain birds. The property is such a treat as well❣

A wonderful place to bring the family. The parrots habitats are all spacious and clean , the grounds are enchanting.
Loved your place had a lot of fun and was amazing to see all the birds and be in cage with some of the birds (that was really fun) would love to come back again
Bird Gardens of Naples is one of the best parrot adoption & sanctuary facility in the U.S.! This facility has the experience and knowledge to serve the individual bird based on the bird's needs! 5 star all the way!
My best friend found the bird gardens online and we decided to go check it out. I have never been to a place that makes me feel so peaceful and at home than they do at the Bird Gardens. The entire team is amazing and you can see the love and passion that they dedicate to these beautiful birds every day. I visit the gardens every chance I get and every time is more enlightening and amazing. I love Bird Gardens Of Naples !!!!
This place is an amazing sanctuary for the birds and a few others.
Kerry is a great caretaker and is full of Love and Enthusiasm.
She is brilliant with everything bird related.
What a wonderful home for these beautiful creatures!
She also assists with adoption for birds needing re-homing.
Injured and sick birds get quality and loving care.
The Volunteers are also truly amazing.
I wish I had time to volunteer, one day maybe.
Fantastic Operation! Keri really cares about her birds and was fantastic in helping us board our 3 macaws for almost 7 months while we were waiting on export permits to move them with us to a small island in the Caribbean.
Best parrot rescue in the country in my opinion, Keri love the parrots so much.... They have beautiful large flights and are very well taken care of
Fantastic place to see. Many beautiful birds with many interesting back stories! It's awesome to see the education Keri is bringing to South Florida about parrots.
This is the only rescue/sanctuary I trust. The director/founder is an extremely knowledgeable person with a great deal of compassion and integrity. The birds are cared for in the best, most professional manner possible, all are loved and given the best possible outcome based on what they need. I cannot recommend this organization highly enough.
The Bird Gardens of Naples is a fun and educational non-profit sanctuary for parrots who are abandoned, abused or otherwise surrendered and in need of new home/s. I highly recommend a visit, I promise you won't be disappointed!!
Bird Gardens of Naples is a hidden gem tucked away off of Immokolee rd. 20 minutes east of Interstate 75. Nestled between Oaks Farm and Union Farm there are approximately 200 exotic parrots that reside on a rustic 5 acre parcel of land. Keri; the head caregiver and tour guide, will walk groups up to 20 people along a natural path pointing out native wildlife and the array of exotics that reside there. Every bird has a name and a story so if you want to book a tour on the website you and your guests can learn all about them. Tours are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. The native flora is almost as beautiful as the colorful parrots and Rocks the dog will probably join your tour. Give yourself around 2 hours for the entire adventure and be sure to bring unsalted almonds (the birds favorite snack) and bug spray. This is truly an amazing place. There is even a small picnic area with restrooms.
I started as just visiting Bird Gardens of Naples 5 years ago. I was so impressed I wanted to volunteer which I try to do for one weekend a month. Keri Lohrman, the CEO, is very knowledgeable, knows all the birds names and gives educational/conservation tours of the Gardens 4 days a week for those whom want to attend.

I have been there several times and Keri Lohrmann has always been there to help. When I had 22 quakers which needed a place to call home she volunteered her services right away. The flight that was built for there is beautiful and are living a great life.
Will go back again and recommend a visit to anyone in the area.
Exciting and Educational! It was so much fun to be able to hold Murphy and Romeo! So beautiful and gentle! We recommend coming and experiencing the beauty, dedication and love these beautiful birds are given. The devotion the owner and volunteers give to these parrots is humbling.
A great non-profit, I think not. I personally saw the owner/director take a short 2x4 and brutally kill a trapped squirrel for no reason, except she doesn't like squirrels. And she let over 100 baby chickens, ducklings, and peacocks be eaten by predictors, because she claims "its nature's way". IMO, for her to obtain donations claiming to be an animal lover is gross misrepresentation at best. IMO, she is not fit to own an animal, let alone run an animal sanctuary. She told me many times, the reason she is involved with rescuing birds, is that it much more profitable than breeding them. It's said you never know someone until you live with them. If the truth ever comes out, the public would be shocked.
I cannot say enough about what a fantastic place Bird Gardens of Naples is. It is a gorgeous exotic place. Aviaries are maintained and clean. Keri puts her heart and soul into loving and caring for these beautiful creatures. I love to roll my car windows down as soon as I enter the property just so I can hear all the tropical sounds. It is one of my favorite places in Naples.
I had to give up my blue and gold macaw do to personal heath issues. Bird Gardens of Naples found him a new home. 2 years later I went to go visit him and I got to see how happy and well taken care of he is. It eases the mind to know he’s in good hands
The Bird Gardens of Naples does a wonderful job educating the public about the pet bird industry. I was also really impressed by the love, care and protection that they provide all the birds there.

We had an amazing time at the Bird Gardens! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and knew every bird by name, and there were over 150 that we saw. The trail was a little bumpy, but no one had any issues navigating that path. We will be telling our friends about this hidden gem, and will be back ourselves!
Handsome, caring couple running the place, peacocks and ducklings running around the property with you. Great family dogs too!
Very informative and fun. Educational not just on the birds but the plants and animals in the environment. Like that you can go in a flight and interact with some of the birds.
Bird Gardens of Naples and Kerrie Ellen are well worth visiting and supporting!! I found it very educational. The outside aviaries are designed to meet her feathered flock. If you have questions or concerns, Kerrie Ellen is always accessable to answer and advise you.
Over the years that I've visited Bird Gardens of Naples, I've watched this amazing place blossom. It's obvious that the members of the board and especially the proprietor who lives there and keeps the place running day-in and day-out loves the endless job of caring for the precious birds who go there for life-long care. I'm impressed time and again with how much energy, time, experience, knowledge, love, compassion, work, tenderness, more work, more energy, goes into this endeavor...and the birds benefit from it all! Anyone looking for an inspiring afternoon in Southwest Florida should take a tour of Bird Gardens of Naples; you'll come away with a newfound love and understanding of parrots, that's for sure. Beautiful place. Beautiful people. Beautiful birds.

I have volunteered at Bird Gardens of Naples a few times with feeding birds and cage-cleaning for the special-needs birds. When the proprietor had been in a car accident and had some mobility challenges, the daily chores took more time for the limited staff. It was a joy to be there among the birds and get to know which ones prefer interaction and which ones prefer to wait until you leave their flight to come forward to inspect what you've left for them. Every plant on the grounds is "parrot-safe" and grown with no pesticides or fertilizers so a volunteer can pick a guava or starfruit and hand it to an excited parrot...until the finicky eaters get tired of the easy offerings and wait for the food from the wheel barrow that gets pushed from flight to flight. It's a beautiful, back-to-nature, scenic home for more than 200 birds who have come to a point in their lives where it's time to sit back and let life be calm. The Bird Gardens of Naples is providing something enriching and lovely after years of uncertainty for some of them; after years of truly loving homes for others.
best place for the bird lovers in SW Florida. Dont miss an opportunity to schedule a visit to Naples Bird Garden. Keri will assist and organize a tour and you will meet many many parrots. Have fun !

Life changing experience !!! I am so glad that I discovered this place in Naples. Sincey my childhood I loved and cared for all animals but birds are always my passion. Keriellen, who give my family a tour on my first visit was amazing. I was very impressed by her knowledge, memory and her dedication. If you own one or two birds, you probably know how much mess they can make or how loud they can be. Right? Here in Naples Bird Gardens Keri have over 300+ birds and every cage or flight looks just great and amazing. You can tell easly that each bird receive an attention and they look so
Happy. In addition to this is that Keri knows every bird by their name along with their history. What a memory!!!. And here is the best part.... About 7 months ago during one of my another visit, I fall in love with blue fronted amazon and ask her if I can hold her. Birds was named Dixi. That magic moment we felt in love eachother. When i hear her story i have heartbroken and applied to adopt her. She was very old and feather on the head and some on chest are plukked. Now Dixi is my best buddy at home. All feathers come back beautifly and she talks about 40 words. We share apples, pears, pasta and many other nice food and having fun together everyday. She hates thunders. If there is a thunder outside she sleep next to my bed on a bench that I built for her. I am so blessed have a bird like Dixi. I wish all abondoned birds can find a forever home before it is too late.
Please do not buy a bird. Think adoption first and think twice. Because this is a lifetime commitment. And one more... PLEASE come and visit Naples BIRD GARDENS. I promise. Ypu and your family will have plenty fun time and learn a lot.
I promise! You will NOT be disappointed.

This charity is a one woman show : with lots of help from those around her. She is an amazing person who is always willing to help wild foul, parrots and birds of all kinds. Her knowledge is extensive and her understanding is profound.
A great nonprofit well worth a visit -The Birdgardens of Naples is ran by a very knowledgeable woman who care about her charges and know the story of every parrot in her care. The birds here have room to fly and access to natural rain and sun, they are provided species-specific nutrition and get to enjoy the company of their own species - evidence of the very high level of knowledge and the expertise on all things avian at The Birdgardens of Naples. This is a great place and nonprofit and every single dime donated go directly to care for and to ensure the welfare of the birds.
Please check out the website and stop by for a visit if or when in the area - I’ve never seen another place like this where you get this up close to so many different parrot species and it’s a lot of fun to hear all the different little voices (and some not so little..) talk, whistle, sing and make the oddest noises as you walk through the grounds.
This is a nonprofit I am happy and proud to support and I highly recommend you check it out for yourself - spend a couple of hours and you may learn a thing or two in the process. (And if you’re very careful and watch your surroundings closely as you drive to and from the Birdgardens you may even get a glimpse of the highly endangered Florida Panther..)
I love volunteering at The Bird Gardens of Naples. I’ve learned more than I ever knew there was to know about parrots including what rescue and sanctuary mean to these beautiful creatures, proper diet, rehabilitation and about how people all over the world are working on repopulating these beauties into the wild where they belong. I’ve hosted a few tours and the visitors are so much fun! It’s been an amazing experience to learn from Keriellen and humbling to see the time and effort she puts into each parrot that comes through the gates. The Bird Gardens of Naples does rescue the right way...110%.
Love the educational tour and the care given to the flock. Keri is very knowledgeable regarding bird care and works very hard to give these birds great quality of life.
What can I say about Keri at The Bird Garden of Naples? She is an angel! I have never seen a woman so passionate and dedicated as Keri. I love going to the Gardens to visit her and her birds. She is beyond amazing. I highly recommend the Bird Gardens to everyone. You can even bring non salted almonds to feed all the birds and Keri allows you to go into the parrot enclosure where you are surrounded by parrots. I love it there!
This parrot sanctuary is expertly run by Keriellen. I run a parrot club and refer many people looking to rehome their bird or adopt a bird here. She takes in all parrots and adopts out every one if possible. If not, they live the rest of their days protected, fed, and in a beautiful, natural environment. I truly respect Keriellen and all she does for the parrot community.
The birds are great and Keri does an awesome job taking care of and nurturing the birds back to health.
Absolutely one of the best sanctuaries in the United States that is opperated by a person with a beautifully compassionate heart, the drive to overcome and press forward with confidence, and a brilliant mind that has the ingenuity to effectively problem solve the crisis of what can be done to help too many captives bred or wild caught parrots without a home. I have been to this sanctuary, and they have lovingly taken in more than 30 unadoptable parrots that we had taken into our rescue. I have nothing but upmost respect for all the wonderful work they do and the immaculate care of their birds.
Kerriellen Lohrman's Bird Garden does a wonderful job of bird rescue, with active programs for bird "foster care" and rehoming, as well as a great environment for birds that cannot be placed. Her tours are educational for young and old. We recommend this place for bird lovers of all ages!
Love this place! 3rd time i have visited in the last 5 yr ,What a long way they have come . Very educational and a all around great time . Always the highlight of my vacation. I am hoping to adopt one day !
I have been a volunteer at the Bird Gardens for 2 years. I have learned so much by volunteering about birds. It is a wonderful place and the birds are so well cared for and loved. I look forward each week to go out and spend time with them.

The Bird Gardens of Naples Is so much more than birds. I took 1 tour and learned so much that I became a volunteer. Now, being a volunteer behind the scenes , I firsthand witness the special bond Keri has with these birds. They are very well cared for and truly loved❤️ I am so happy I found this special place.
Because of the wonderful people who run this sanctuary, my parrots are with me today!
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Taking care of me and our little flock was overwhelming for my husband. Friends from my local bird club stepped in and introduced us to Keri who offered to shelter my amazons while I went through treatment.
I am SO thankful to Keri and Griff, who is now fighting his own cancer battle while still attempting to help others!
Please take the tour when you visit Naples, FL and donate to this worthy establishment.
Without them, my beloved birds who have been part of my family for decades would have been given up.

I love the birds..I've been involved with breeding birds for almost 20 years now. I lived and worked at the Bird Garden of Naples for the last 3 years or so. While the conditions at the Bird Gardens of Naples, look good the the average person, they is much that goes unseen or is hidden from public view. If the public would know what goes on there, I doubt if they would support the owner as they do. The place is infested with rats, and many, many birds have been killed and eaten by rats. A problem that could be solved, but hasn't been. I would estimate while I was there, over a hundred birds have been lost to rats. .The flights and cages are built in a low area; durning the rainy season, which is half the year, the mosquitos are attacking the birds in their cages and flights. The birds are trapped in their cages with hundreds of mosquits attacking them... yet no one seems concerned, out of sight, out of mind. Of course the management stays indoors, ...If you don't think mosquitos are a problem, I suggest you spend the night in in a cage in the everglades / swamp. Up until recently, the birds were forced to drink sulfur water....it took 5 years to solve that problem.... try drinking untrested sulfur water for 5 years, see how you like it.
To me, the most upsetting thing and the root of many of the problems there, is the owners uncaring mindset when it comes to killing small animals. I personally watched her bludgeon a squirrel to death with a 2x4 for no reason except she does not like squirrels. The owner knowingly lets the hawks swoop down and kill baby chicks, peacocks and ducklings... at least 150 that I know of....I wanted to protect them from the preditors, but the owner objected. It's nature's way according to her. However it is very irresponsible and cruel way to raise poultary. In effect all she is doing is feeding the hawks, which is illegal. In my openion she should be arrested for animal cruilty. The owner's mantra is if a person can not take care of their animals they should not have them. I agree, problem is she can't take care of the animals she has, so she should get rid of her's and stop being such a hypocrite. Many of the problems at the Bird Gardens of Naples, can be solve, but it take someone who cares about all animals, not just parrots. In my openion she should be arrested for animal cruilty, and replaced by someone who is not a Narcissistic Sociopath. I am trying to kept this review short. This is just the tip of the iceberg. To fully expose all that is taking place at the Bird Gardens of Naples would require many pages. If you do take a tour, you may want to ask the owner what she is going to do with the two freezers full of dead birds she has...
I love this place im a care giver I happened to,take my one client here he still talks about how he loves this place and when will we go again . The tour was awesome got to hold few of parrots which was really cool and you get to feed them to if you bring parrot food peanuts that are recommended by owners . There are so many exotic and very beautiful nice birds first time I visited and we both fell in love with the birds this is by far best non profit that is free and all they ask are for donations to help for the love of the birds
Thank you so much for this wonderful place we hope to come back soon
I am very familiar with the parrot rescues in central and southwest Florida. Kerriellen is one of only two that I know of who is honest, above board and transparent with her operation. She is also only one of two that I will be trusting with my own birds.
Keriellen, volunteers, and family works hard to provide for all of the BUDs...
I go there every year.
I love to feed Caitec BUD cookies to everyone...
There is such great work being done at the Bird Gardens! It's wonderful to have been able to volunteer here and see first-hand the natural environment and care given to the beautiful Birds that have come to know this place as their home! Anyone would enjoy a visit to the sanctuary, gain knowledge about parrots, and even enjoy giving the birds some nuts and treats
