operated a positron emission tomography imaging center and a related radiopharmaceutical production facility which served 1,705 patients during the year, of which 782 were free or substantially discounted for indigent persons. The center also worked with various national companies to support clinical and pro-clinical trials. The cgmp radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility is capable of producing different radiopharmaceuticals and provides radiopharmaceuticals to other scanners in the region.

operated a ten story, 160,000 sq ft research facility housing 56 state-of-the-art wet labs, an animal care facility, a positron emission tomography (pet) imaging center and related administrative offices. The 56 wet labs and animal facility are leased to lsuhsc-s to support its basic science research program. The pet center provides imaging to support patients of lsuhsc-s and the regional medical community as well as support for the animal imaging program at lsuhsc-s. The research facility provided essential research space needed to support the acquisition of lsuhsc-s extramural funding. Conducted activities related to the establishment of a science & technology business park including support for scientific economic development projects, workforce development and education. Provided financial and programmatic assistance to prospective park tenants. Provided land for development including environmental remediation. Maintained multiple leased properties, including a 33,000 sq ft cgmp manufacturing facility and multiple incubator facilities. Intertech activities also include support for six k-12 and higher education programs.

the entrepreneurial accelerator program provides services and resources to support the creation of the innovation ecosystem in northwest louisiana. The purpose of the eap is to support high-growth start-up companies in louisiana by matching investors with marketable ideas that solve problems. The eap team, consists of brf staff, angel investors, business analysts, subject matter experts, and legal and financial consultants. Partners include higher education institutions, economic development organizations and government entities. The digital media institute prepares its students for employment in the real world. Utilizing a "learn by doing" approach, the instructors and administrators create an atmosphere that facliitates real-world scenarios designed to educate students in a project-based format that accurately mimics the pressures and deadlines similar to those they will face upon graduation. The one-year intensive program gives students immersive training and access to opportunities in the digital media industry that are specifically focused on animation and visual effects, as well as digital game development. Students who complete the course leave the program with extensive training in industry-standard programs and applications. Students who give their full effort leave the program with a portfolio that can be used in interviews and demo reels. Office of research development and administration is a research development and administration team formed to identify and manage opportunities for clinical trials and translational research, match them with qualified scientific investigators and healthcare providers, and oversee their implementation and successful completion.
