Mission: The mission of the bingham county humane society is to advocate the humane treatment of animals, responsible pet guardianship, and companion animal sterilization.
Target demographics: We help homeless, abandoned, unwanted kittens and cats in Bingham County find loving, forever homes. We also assist in controlling the pet population and help prevent unnecessary euthanasia of companion animals.
Direct beneficiaries per year: From January 1 through December 31, 2022 the Bingham County Humane Society sold 762 Discount Spay/Neuter Vouchers to residents of Bingham County - that's 762 animals whose responsible caregivers will not allow their pets to contribute to the overpopulation of unwanted companion animals in our county. The breakdown is as follows: 239 Feline Neuters 280 Feline Spays 161 Feral/Community Cat Spay/Neuters 48 Canine Neuters 36 Canine Spays We were also able to adopt/rehome 122 of our rescued Felines.
Geographic areas served: Bingham County Idaho
Programs: We take in unwanted cats and kittens, spay/neuter, fully vaccinate, deworm, and microchip them. We provide medical treatment and a loving environment then find them safe, indoor homes. We also partner with local veterinary clinics to offer low cost spay/neuter/TNR vouchers to Bingham County residents to help control the pet population.
