Mission: The purpose of the organization is to provide services for members of the jewish community experiencing hardship and illness, primarily in the bergen county, new jersey area, allowing these families and individuals to focus their attention on dealing with the issues affecting them and their loved ones.
Programs: Food and lodging were provided to family members of hospitalized individuals, specifically over the jewish sabbath when traveling to and from hospitals is prohibited. Taxis and other forms of transportation were provided to assist individals needing to go to hospitals or for medical visits who cannot do so on their own. Provisions as well as childcare and babysitting assistance were provided when parents were unable to remain at home due to having to deal with illness or other hardship in the family. Volunteers assisted with errands for families in need and assistance for single family households.
