Bible League International’s Bibles for Students Program offers the Easy-Read-Version (ERV) of the Bible to Christian Schools at no cost. The ERV is a translation based on the original Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic languages of Scripture, and expresses the full meaning of the original text in a style that is clear and understandable for this generation.
The ERV is available in English and Spanish. Sixteen of the schools contacted in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota responded with requests for a total of nearly 1,300 Bibles and other resources.
As of May 2017 this link https://www.bibleleague.org/about-us/leadership/ shows Jos Snoep as the CEO, and his annual salary is less than other similar ministries according to the BBB website. Family Life Radio is supporting their fund drive now, so I'm reasoning BLI are good stewards of our donations. Don't let out of date information cause you to spread rumors, or prevent you from spreading the Gospel of Jesus.
This charity is a great cause and I was actually surprised at the financial reports I read. It seems like employees are paid a fair but not exorbident salary. I'm glad to partner with them to help people receive God's word. God bless.

Bible League International is one of the few Christian organizations with a focus on resourcing the poor or under resourced church around the world. With their programs designed to enhance the church and the community it serves Bible league International has deep impact with the Word of God. Very focused ministry.

I donated to this charity thinking my gift would help others receive much needed bibles. NOT SO. They have spent more time and money trying to get me to donate more money than I gave. My gift was used to solicit me and probably others with $0.00 spent on sending bibles to others. I have, at great effort, tried to get them to stop sending me mail asking for more money but they keep sending me mail. I suggest NOT donating to this group.

Bible League International is such a great cause that I could not recommend donating to this organization enough. The goal of Bible League International is to distribute Bibles around the world and educate about the Bible. They will distribute them everywhere from poorer places in the U.S. to Prisons to poor nations around the world and even some places where the Bible may be prohibited. Sometimes it may sound like not a big deal to have access to a Bible and the Word of God but around the world it is. They assist people in learning about the Bible and translate and distribute to people in need. Learning the Scriptures can truly change a person and a community and by giving people the opportunity to do this they are making a real difference.
In deciding which charities to support many factors go into the process. The most important thing for me is what the mission of the charity group is as well as where they serve and how they go about serving. In choosing to be a proud supporter of Bible League International nothing teaches their mission better than "We help people meet Jesus Christ. In his Word. In community. In the local church." The Bible is the foundation of Christianity and to be able to give the gift of the Bible in various languages around the world is truly a wonderful cause as well as teaching the Bible is really the foundation of what I believe. I truly do believe in the Statement of Faith and Core Values of Bible League International as well as the leadership of the Group. After taking time to find the right charity to support Bible League International has earned my donations.
I have supported the Bible League since the 1970s. I was first involve with Bible Distribution to Hotels/Motels in Seattle and saw the letters from people who took the take-it home offer for the New Testiments. Many peoples lives were changed as a result. It was a blessing to be involved with spreading God's word. Over the years we have known several of the Bible League staff and been impressed with their love for each other an those they interact with -- you can tell they are Christians by their love.
