Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Children & Youth, Christianity, Religion, Religion-Related, Youth Development - Religious Leadership

Mission: We are called by God to provide Scriptures and training worldwide, so that people prepared by the Holy Spirit will be brought into fellowship with Christ and His Church.

Programs: Bible League International supports the work of Christian churches in Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Latin America, the Middle East, and among U.S. Hispanics by providing Bibles and training for nationals to lead Bible studies, share and grow in their faith, and establish new churches.

As we reach out to the world with God's Word, we want to make sure that three specific groups hear and study God's Word: those who are poor; those who are persecuted Christians; and those who have never heard about Jesus Christ. When these individuals believe in Jesus, receive a Bible of their own to read and study, and meet regularly with other believers, we celebrate our success with our donor partners.

As of May 2017 this link https://www.bibleleague.org/about-us/leadership/ shows Jos Snoep as the CEO, and his annual salary is less than other similar ministries according to the BBB website. Family Life Radio is supporting their fund drive now, so I'm reasoning BLI are good stewards of our donations. Don't let out of date information cause you to spread rumors, or prevent you from spreading the Gospel of Jesus.

This charity is a great cause and I was actually surprised at the financial reports I read. It seems like employees are paid a fair but not exorbident salary. I'm glad to partner with them to help people receive God's word. God bless.

Bible League International is one of the few Christian organizations with a focus on resourcing the poor or under resourced church around the world. With their programs designed to enhance the church and the community it serves Bible league International has deep impact with the Word of God. Very focused ministry.

I donated to this charity thinking my gift would help others receive much needed bibles. NOT SO. They have spent more time and money trying to get me to donate more money than I gave. My gift was used to solicit me and probably others with $0.00 spent on sending bibles to others. I have, at great effort, tried to get them to stop sending me mail asking for more money but they keep sending me mail. I suggest NOT donating to this group.

Bible League International is such a great cause that I could not recommend donating to this organization enough. The goal of Bible League International is to distribute Bibles around the world and educate about the Bible. They will distribute them everywhere from poorer places in the U.S. to Prisons to poor nations around the world and even some places where the Bible may be prohibited. Sometimes it may sound like not a big deal to have access to a Bible and the Word of God but around the world it is. They assist people in learning about the Bible and translate and distribute to people in need. Learning the Scriptures can truly change a person and a community and by giving people the opportunity to do this they are making a real difference.

Robert Frank is a very strong determined leader. He and the board of directors has redefined what the bible league is. Commenters and reviewers should know the difference between an accusation and a felony conviction in Federal court. Mr. Frank is an Ex Convict. That is a matter of public record that he kept secret for three years. Oops! Yes there was a tearful apology. Confession after being caught, that's not a definition of "forthcoming". What a hoot!

In deciding which charities to support many factors go into the process. The most important thing for me is what the mission of the charity group is as well as where they serve and how they go about serving. In choosing to be a proud supporter of Bible League International nothing teaches their mission better than "We help people meet Jesus Christ. In his Word. In community. In the local church." The Bible is the foundation of Christianity and to be able to give the gift of the Bible in various languages around the world is truly a wonderful cause as well as teaching the Bible is really the foundation of what I believe. I truly do believe in the Statement of Faith and Core Values of Bible League International as well as the leadership of the Group. After taking time to find the right charity to support Bible League International has earned my donations.

The review left by gtcouple is false. CEO Rob Frank has been forthcoming with Bible League about the accusations made against him while at Fruit of the Loom. In fact he shared the whole story in a public and humble fashion.

It is also false that Rob shut down Project Philip or the programs that give churches the tools to replicate themselves through church planting. Both of these endeavors are alive and well and thriving. Rob recently discussed the success of both of these programs with Pat Boone on TBN's Praise the LORD show (http://www.itbn.org/index/detail/lib/Networks/sublib/TBN/ec/l0b2JnaTol-9slGVU1PWYjYoOtckU7i7).

It is also false that Rob closed all international offices. Bible League has offices in South Africa, the Netherlands, and Australia to name a few. It is bothersome that a 100% false review can be posted on this website without fact-checking. I invite gtcouple to get the facts straight and apologize for telling lies about Bible League International.

Bible League has gone through some recent changes, but it continues to distribute Scripture throughout the world. BLI staff continue to train church planters throughout the world. Now BLI also engages in making Easy-to-Read Bibles, so more people can have access to God's Word. And Bible League now also does literacy ministry so people can read and understand the Bible's that BLI provides.

The Bible League has many issues that concern me. First, the CEO, Rob Frank, has not been forthright about his professional background. Rob, was terminated from Fruit of the Loom when he was accused of misappropriating over $300,000. Rob's patterns have not changed, and he has lacked integrity in his communication with donors. Rob has also changed the direction of BLI by laying off all 600 indigenous workers and closing all international offices in October 2012. Rob shut down the Project Philip and Church Planting programs and subsequently fired all VPs of field ministry. As a long time donor, I inquired about these changes, and I never received a call back from BLI. I have stopped my giving to BLI, and I encourage all donors to look long at hard at BLI before getting involved with them.

I have supported the Bible League since the 1970s. I was first involve with Bible Distribution to Hotels/Motels in Seattle and saw the letters from people who took the take-it home offer for the New Testiments. Many peoples lives were changed as a result. It was a blessing to be involved with spreading God's word. Over the years we have known several of the Bible League staff and been impressed with their love for each other an those they interact with -- you can tell they are Christians by their love.

I came to this site (Guidestar) to find out what the CEO makes in salary and compensation. I feel stymied that I have to pay a fee to find this basic information out. Why is this not readily available? Please send me the answer to this. Thanks!
