Scholarships were provided to displaced kurdish students in mersin, silvan and istanbul, turkey and provided support for a kurdish pastor in mersin, turkey. The executive director planned and developed refugee projects in northern iraq that were funded and implemented by ngo partners. The executive director was a featured speaker on middle east peace at the nobel peace prize forum and continues to consult in that capacity for the lutheran church.
