Mission: To make substantial, long-term impact on the lives of the poor and disadvantaged locally, nationally, and globally by addressing individual needs, including education, housing, nutrition, health care, micro-enterprise, job training and mentoring.
Programs: Guatemala construction & support - organized three week-long mission trips with 123 volunteers who constructed 10 permanent concrete-block homes in the guatemala city garbage dump community; provided 8 medical clinics staffed by medical professionals; and conducted camps (3 weeks) offering education, sports (baseball & soccer) clinics, crafts, snacks, and skills training for 180 underprivileged children. Sponsored education program for 250 students in 7th and 8th grade, sponsored nutrition lunches for those students, and donated shoes to 250 children and bags of groceries to their families.
pine ridge support service. Provided ongoing support and services to individuals and organizations serving the lakota native american community on the pine ridge indian reservation in south dakota. Organized a week-long mission trip for 20 volunteers who repaired homes, conducted baseball and craft camps for children, prepared and served meals to community members, and constructed a dugout at the baseball field. Provided a grant for staffing an after-school program with native workers who provided tutoring, mentoring, and life-skills development to 20 native children.
