Mission: To collect, preserve, interpret and disseminate Beverly's regional history.
Results: In the last two years, we have addressed deferred maintenance issues at the Balch House and Hale Farm with $250,000 in donated funds. We opened two exhibits at the Cabot House, "Emerging from Salem's Shadow" and "Revolution to Republic." We issued two new publications, welcomed hundreds of school children, and celebrated the creation of Beverly's new Arts District, which begins at the Cabot House.
Target demographics: preserve the past so that we can better understand the present and create a better future.
Direct beneficiaries per year: more than 1500 program attendees and 350 researchers to learn from our collections. including the 4,600 new items accepted into the collection.
Geographic areas served: preserving the history of Beverly, Massachusetts for future generations.
Programs: Caring for nearly one million objects and documents related to Beverly history, and sharing that history through research, publications, talks, school field trips and walking tours.
