Betsy Ann Ross House of Hope (BARHH) in Augusta, Maine is an amazing and much needed 501c3 organization that is providing homeless female veterans and their children with temporary housing and other support services to help them gain their independence. They need our help and support to continue their mission as ONE of only SIX non-profit organizations in the entire country providing housing and support services for the homeless female veteran population and their children. YES, there are many homeless and at risk female veterans (and children) in Maine and across the country who need to be seen and be counted.

Mission: We strive to end the hidden suffering of women veterans through providing an emotionally safe and secure emergency transitional home for women veterans to regain their inner strength with their children and emotional support animals.
Results: We see a world where no women veteran has to fight for housing; a country where women veterans are treated as equals; a place where any women veteran has a comfortable home to feel safe and build their emotional strength and life skills back.
Target demographics: women veterans and their children (and emotional support animals).
Direct beneficiaries per year: we have gone on many trips with our veterans both to feel free from burden while visiting coastal Maine, to more serious appointments, and even across states to help relocate the women.
