Mission: Bethel Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that exists to meet the people of Oklahoma City at their need. Sadly Oklahoma leads the nation in food insecurity and hunger. Not statistics we are proud of. It may be hard to imagine if you've never been there, but too many members of our local community regularly go hungry. 1 in 7 to be exact. It's even worse for children, a whopping 20% of Oklahoma's children endure hunger on a continuing basis. That's not OK with us. We believe we can make a meaningful difference in our community by providing free food, clothing, and basic necessities to those facing challenging times. You can help us! Please donate today so that we can continue to fight food insecurity, hunger, and lack of basic necessities.
Target demographics: people and families in need
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 114,000 people with food and clothing, 6300 people with household appliances, 2700 birthday celebrations, 300 camp attendees, and 525 kids sponsored for Christmas.
Geographic areas served: Oklahoma
Programs: free food, clothing, and essential household goods to the community, Angels for Kids program allows donors to sponsor a child or family for Christmas. This program seeks to ensure that all children who celebrate Christmas receive a gift, usually a lot! Free and low cost summer camps for kids, The Grace Scholarship program provides funding for single moms wanting to go to college to pursue a bachelor's degree.
