Mission: Betances health center ("the center") service mission aims to remedy health disparities among individuals residing in underserved, ethnically diverse neighborhoods concentrated within zip code 10002, but not limited to zip code 10002.
Programs: Betances is a federally qualified health center providing primary medical care, dental, behavioral health, nutrition, women's health and case management services to multi-ethnic communities on the lower east side of manhattan. In 2016, the center served 4,721 patients with visits totaling 31,495. Medical services constituted 16,526 visits and 51% of all center activity. Primary care medical activities are supported by case management and behavioral health services. Behaviroal health visits were an additional 2,178 in 2016.
