All that can be said is having great people like Jay Lickus is what is game changer. There is no 2 words that can be said about this man. He represents this company with his heart, passion and love for what he does. He is one of the greatest humans that I have met. My wife and I own an audiology practice and having him on board in the community and a leader is a precious thing. He is a legend of his own and any company would be blessed to have someone like him. He makes Benevilla better singlehandedly as when people mention Benevilla - Jay Lickus is what comes to mind. What a blessing to all. We love and support Benevilla.

This nonprofit services both the aging seniors but children, families including kinship caregivers, and those with special needs. It serves our community in the west side and southwest areas often lacking social service services. Benevilla has been a pillar in the community for many decades and uses the power of caring volunteers to meet the needs of their community.

Benevilla has helped many of my friends in Sun City and Sun City West. They have also set up workshops and conferences that help people find resources for helping their loved ones.

Although I'm mainly speaking from a public perspective, I also have worked with them in their conferences and workshops... as a representative of KSCW radio.

It has been a pleasure to be associated with Benevilla over the years.

I found myself taking on the role of my dad’s caregiving when my mom died unexpectedly last year. It wasn’t long before I realized that being a live-in caregiver is an extremely difficult lifestyle and I needed support to help me get through it. Benevilla offers several opportunities for caregivers to get information, advice, and support. What an amazing resource that everyone should know about!

My mother attended two different Life Enrichment Programs at Benevilla and loved them both. The time she spent there gave my dad some much needed respite. The staff is so welcoming and caring.

Thank you Benevilla.

We are so grateful for this great organization and wonderful staff for all the years my brother spent at the Day Centers. They are patient and so caring. Our family was blessed to have had them care for Junior and we will never forget their kindness and can never thank then enough.

“Bene” from the Latin meaning good and “Villa” from the Latin meaning home—together it means “good home.” That is exactly what you find at Benevilla . The name and the culture of the organization and people conveys the warmth and support this agency is proud to have offered for 40 years !!

I have worked at Benevilla for over 5 years and I love working here! It's rewarding to know that our time is well spent helping people in the Northwest Valley in so many ways! They provide much needed services in the community and are a very unique agency compared to anything out there. I encourage you to use the Benevilla services, donate, volunteer or get involved in any way you can.

“Bene” from the Latin meaning good and “Villa” from the Latin meaning home—together it means “good home.” That is exactly what you find at Benevilla . The name and the culture of the organization and people conveys the warmth and support this agency is proud to have offered for over three decades.

Benevilla was formed as a not-for-profit organization in 1981 by a group of Sun City residents concerned many of their neighbors could not get important services to maintain their independence and quality of life. This lack of transportation, grocery shopping, handyman and other services could potentially cause premature institutionalization or rapid decline in physical and mental well-being. What makes Benevilla unique is the 400+ volunteers who are involved in all aspects of services, delivery, public awareness, fundraising and organizational development. Their services include five adult care centers, volunteer based home services, caregiver education and support, support groups, information and referral, and various other senior and family services.

My daughter has Downs Syndrome and while she had been in in many day programs, she was not interested in the activities that they had to offer. When she entered the program the people at Benevilla recognized that she had a interest in working in food preparation and.trained her to so that she could get her license in food handling. She now works for Birt's Bistro in Surprise Arizona and loves her job. She has a great many more interests since she started working and her self-esteem has skyrocketed. God bless Benevilla and all the people that work for the organization. They are wonderful and sensitive people that truly care about the people that serve. They serve people from birth to old age.

I enjoy volunteering for Benevilla. The agency provides a variety of services that fill the gap for our elderly population who need transportation to medical appointments, healthy food delivered to their door in the form of meals or groceries, simple home repairs, or a regular friendly visit from a volunteer. Other services include programs to maintain mental acuity, support groups for caregivers of elderly family members or grandchildren, and day care for adults as well as for young children. There is so much more going on in this organization as it constantly evolves to be a good resource for the community, whether as a farmer's market, community garden, or family fun at winter fest.

I knew of Benevilla from numerous news articles in The Independent and The Daily News Sun and from driving past the Sun City location on Del Webb Blvd. I had seen the buses in that lot and on the street.

I first became interested in volunteering with Benevilla when a friend in my home state said I needed to meet one of her friends who was new to the area. This lady, an employee of Benevilla, suggested a get acquainted meeting at Birt's Bistro. Two hours later, I had had a tour of the campus, met several people who worked in various capacities, and had an application for becoming a volunteer. I was most impressed by the people, who all seemed to glow with support for the mission of Benevilla. I knew I wanted some of that "glow" in my life! I had assignments soon after completing screening and training.

I remain impressed with the dedication of each employee and volunteer I have met. Whether at fundraising or special events, or day-to-day encounters, all are friendly and committed to serving the elderly, the community and Benevilla's many projects.

I work in two areas of Benevilla: I drive clients to their medical appointments two days a week. I also work in the Marketing division of Administration doing clerical work one day a week.

I believe that everyone needs to give a little back to the community in return for a lifetime of blessings. Benevilla allows me the opportunity to be of service to others in my neighborhood.

Benevilla is very involved with supporting human services in the Surprise Regional Area. Formerly, Interfaith Community Care, Benevilla has built a solid reputation for person-centered care. Their programs have provided many individuals the right of dignity and independence. Benevilla is a magnet for generations of citizens in the area, and actively pursue solutions to improve the lives of people they serve.

I became aware through several members of our church of the very positive way Benevilla impacts the Northwest Valley Area through it's various adult day care programs. Four years ago I was invited to become a member of the finance committee and was so impressed with the entire organization I have continued to become involved in several other committees and activities. Benevilla attracts over 700 talented volunteers who have expertise in a variety of backgrounds.

Benevilla has continued to expand its services in recent years to include a volunteer food service program, grandparents raising grandchildren and even prepares meals for its clients and as a sideline the general public. It has become a model whose advice is sought after by other organizations.

When I moved to Surprise several years ago I heard about Benevilla and decided to volunteer. Nearly five years later I am still volunteering and serving on the governing board. Benevilla's work in the Northwest Valley has been a model for many other not-for-profit organizations serving clients with Alzheimer's and dementia as well as developmentally disabled adults. The intergenerational program linking seniors with young children in the Wirtzie's preschool is known throughout the area as one of the select early childhood programs.

Our 700 volunteers generously give of their time and talents to support seniors in the Northwest Valley. Like many of our volunteers, I have found my work with Benevilla to be personally rewarding.

working with Benevilla has been a wonderful experience for me. Each and everyone of the staff members are caring individuals who want only the best for Benevilla. At each board meeting, there is a chance for a person who benefts from using the services provided by Benevilla. Tears come to my eyes as I listen to the wonderful stories shared about how Benevilla has improved the quality of life for the entire family. You wont find a better more caring organization than Benevilla for the young as well as the elderly.
