With all due respect to the person who feels they were discriminated against by not being called for an interview, I'd like to share my experience. I was hired for a completely different position in the same time frame. I was over 60. So I don't think age was the reason. As far as race, a large percentage of the organization was Black, as was the head of HR. So that probably wasn't the reason either. I think you were way more qualified than what the position required. They eventually hired a very young woman for the role. No health care experience whatsoever. She was experienced in training and had a great attitude. She was being groomed for a fast track to management before the organization was drastically downsized to accommodate a new direction unrelated to being a managed behavioral health care organization.

A discriminatory organization!!!!!

I applied for a position, a few days ago, as the TRaining and Development Coordinator, but was promptly rejected without any interviews, what so ever! When I contacted their HR department, and I was told that None was given. However, I am a black female over the age of 60, with a Ph.D., 2 Masters, a Bachelor's and an Associate Degree. I am also an RN and teach at a university. I have supervisory and director experience at a non-profit, as well as experience in Behavior Health, as a Clinical Manager. YET I WAS NOT EVEN INTERVIEWED FOR the POSITION!!! Why?? I should have, at least been interviewed before rejecting my application. I am filing a complaint with the Department of Civil Rights. I believe I was not considered for the position because of my Race and Age!!!!
