Mission: To provide women who have been in prison, hope, healing and reconciliation with god, family and community.
Programs: The house of ruth is a residence where women who have been in prison can find a safe structured christ centered environment to love, nurture and encourage them. The home structure provides a daily routine that includes normal domestic chores and activities designed to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the residents. A resident house manager provides on site supervision and accountability. Through a network of resources-from social services agencies to faith -based ministries and churches our community reentry case management connect the women with the services and support needed to address family issues, obtain permanent housing and employment, continue education, complete drug and alcohol treatment and establish consistent physical and mental health care. The house opened in june 2007. In 2010 an additional residence was opened to serve residents who are employed and nearing discharge. In 2012 the program was restructured to offer residents up to (2) years to complete a one year commitment is now required for admission, with an option to stay an additional year if needed.
