Bees In The D

So far I’ve participated in a few honey harvests, hive maintenance and winterization. All of which were tons of fun and I’ve learned a lot! Exited to see what new adventures await with getting hives opened up for spring!

After meeting the Brians at a honey harvest at Bonbonbon in Detroit and learning of their initiative to “grow” the bee highway, I was eager to help.
I now have four of their hives on the rooftop of Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex in downtown Plymouth. The hives are the “buzz” of the fifty tenant groups that call PARC their home.
The enthusiasm of the Brians has brought some much needed attention to saving our bees and I am so happy to be part of it!

A wonderful group of people doing wonderful things with nature in the cityscape of Detroit. Bees in the D go above and beyond in the education and understanding of these important pollinators. With fun events and collaborations they keep it exciting and very open to the average person!

The Bees in the D team is great. The Brian’s worked with our group and answered every question we threw at them from placement of the hives, to decorating and care. We look forward to harvesting honey this season and enjoying the fruits of their labor.

I've attended an all day seminar that included hands on with the hives and harvesting some honey, 2 honey harvests and a couple hive checks which included treating for mites and winterizing the hives. I've learned so much! Bees in the D is as much about educating about the importance of bees and how amazing they are, as well as tending the health of bee hives that are hosted by so many businesses around metro Detroit.

The Brian’s have done an amazing job educating anyone who attends an event. They truly care about the bee’s and love sharing their passion with others!

Bees in the D supports our 2 hives at The MSR in Rochester MI and we love them so much! Brian and his team are so helpful and knowledgeable, it is our pleasure to be part of saving the bees with them!

I’m a grower/ co-owner at Featherstone Garden on the east side of Detroit. We have been partnering with Bees in the D for 4 years now, and I’m so grateful for all the wonderful work they do in and around our city. Their hives at our site are highly beneficial for our plants and I hope we continue to work with them for many years to come! ������

In addition to producing GREAT honey, the passion coming from this group in an effort to educate everyone on the importance of pollinators is contagious. Love love love the Brians and the Bees!
