6 years ago my family boarded a horse at BHHR. We soon become involved in horse rescue after learning all that they do. We eventually adopted 3 horses from them after they saved them from slaughter. They are so caring and go above and beyond just rescuing putting everything they have into the animals and even people they help. Their commitment is amazing and selfless. I have learned so many valuable life lessons since getting involved. Thank you for all You do!
I came across Beckys Hope Horse Rescue in Fall of 2019 when a donkey mare they'd rescued (Jellybean) was about to give birth. The kind folks at Beckys are amazing. Mama donkey Jellybean didn't want them in her stall but when they'd try to leave the barn, she put up a big fuss as if to say: "Stay with me - just use the stall next to me". And so they did!! Night after night they'd sleep next to her. I'd check in each morning and night via Twitter to keep them company and to find out if "Baby Bean" had arrived. I was hooked...just couldn't wait for Bean to say hello to the world. And finally, after what seemed like months, he arrived and he was splendid. Curious little donkey...so sweet. He went around kissing everyone. I still look forward to news of him. But meantime, I 've become very familiar with what they do at Beckys Hope. They are the real deal!. They RESCUE....night and day. When they're called upon, they act swiftly. They don't leave any animals left behind from an abusive or abandonment situation. They they rehab the animals on the vets advice. Later on, the animals can be adopted or trained to be therapy animals. Kindness is in everything they do. No volunteers at the rescue are paid. ALL DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TO THE ANIMALS AND THEIR CARE. Love these people. I'm in touch with them as much as possible and love what they do!!! Please help them out. ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

I adopted a horse from BHHR 6 years ago. He has been my best friend and helped me through a lot of growing pains. I volunteered for years before moving and it taught me so much. Learning to take care of animals especially ones that come from hard pasts was as good for me as for them. They are so great and care so much for the animals. I will always credit them for helping me through tough times. We now live in the country and have many rescues
My daughter has helped to rescue 7 slaughter bound horses this year and Becky’s Hope has been so instrumental in helping her do so. Becky’s Hope has taken in one horse that she fundraised to save and offered it a forever home in Texas paradise. Becky’s Hope has also been a resource for other horses that she has pulled and the kind folks at Becky’s Hope offered up their own resources for the horses until she can get them to their forever homes . The saying “it takes a village” also applies to horse rescue. I’ve personally seen the money, time, blood, sweat and tears that goes into rescue and so little of it would be possible without organizations like Becky’s Hope. Sincerely, thank you for all you do for the horse community!

We appreciate all the work you do to save horses! BHHR is honored to work with great people like you. I truly takes all of us working together to make a difference. Thank you!
I’m a long time donor to Beckys Hope Horse Rescue. Their founder’s professionalism and dedication to the animals in their care is what I think sets them apart. Their animals are happy, well cared for and surrounded by love. Their animals all have stories to tell but once they get to Becky’s Hope, no matter what trauma they endured in the past, they heal, move on and leave their trauma where it belongs...in the past! We have much to learn from these old souls.
I love their transparency, too. When I send them my money I know it goes to what I intended. Other rescues don’t always do that. Thankfully I haven’t had to rely on Becky’s Hope to take in my personal horses but I appreciate that they stand ready to do so for people in their community and beyond. They are always available with advice on how to care for your horse and what owners can do to prepare for flooding and hurricanes. I love Becky’s Hope and am proud to support them. I encourage others to do the same.

It was our absolute honor to have the opportunity to introduce you to Bubbles & to our rescue. We loved spending time with you. Honestly can't wait until you have a chance to come back & we can show you around our new location. You are part of our rescue family!! ❤️
Several years ago Becky's Hope did a sponsorship drive. I was watching to see which animals needed a sponsor to make my decision. After a week or so it became apparent that the chickens were not moving fast.
That is how I became Mama Chicken. I decided to sponsor them when Dora The Explorer was still with us. The flock size fluctuates but there is always a chicken who needs some love.
The work the folks here do is amazing, all the animals are thriving. Many times you do not know where your money goes when you donate-it's different at Becky's-you see your money in action!
I started as a volunteer at BHHR and then I rescued two horses from a kill lot. Becky’s Hope and their staff were so helpful and we learned so much about taking care of them. We enjoyed our new babies and helping to take care of the other animals at Becky’s Hope. We found and purchased a small ranch of our own and moved our horses and selves there. A few months later we adopted Ani, a Jenny (female donkey) and her offspring, Diva and moved them to our new home. We loved working with the critters at BHHR and the staff. We don’t have as much time to give them as we had before but we still help when we can, donate, and stay in touch. They mean a lot to us. Please donate time or money to BHHR.

Thank you so much for being a big part of the BHHR family. We love that y'all adopted some of our precious babies. You have been there whenever we needed you. Bless y'all ❤️
As a small horse rescue, we regularly look to other rescues for collaboration and sometimes guidance to how best resolve a situation in their communities. Most rescues will refuse to collaborate or when they do, will refuse to acknowledge the other parties involved who helped provide funding or other resources. They will (shockingly) even reach out to donors and social media and attempt to discredit the organizations they see as their competitors for donors. In my experience, Becky’s Hope has on multiple occasions, ALWAYS been willing to help, and kept the welfare of the horses as their priority regardless of what others were saying about them. I have seen them step in multiple times to salvage situations where other rescues have failed and sit quietly by as those rescues took credit for the hard work put in by Becky’s Hope volunteers. I’m here today to credit them for just one of those situations.
We had an advocate who was desperately working to save a forgotten horse from a kill pen. Try as we might, though, we couldn’t find a home for him. The situation was exacerbated by a lameness issue disclosed by the kill pen that would preclude this horse’s ability to be Safely transported long distance. In stepped Becky’s Hope who agreed to take him in, assess him, and do their best to rehab him. While our advocate covered the cost of getting the horse to them, Becky’s Hope had a vet come (at their expense) to determine the lameness issue that led to multiple “advocates” calling for euthanasia, was simply a case of having been overworked — specifically having been forced to practice spinning on one foot to excess. Now safely in their care, he has been named Jesse, is expected to make a full recovery, and since being released from quarantine, has made himself a favorite among the mares in the neighboring paddocks and volunteers alike.
We are forever grateful to Becky’s Hope for what they did for Jesse and other horses, donkeys, and mules (not to mention the dogs, cats, cows, goats, ducks, geese, or any other furred or feathered friend lucky enough to wander into their path). We will continue to endorse their good work and encourage others to do so as well.
There are many nonprofits started for the love of animal and humankind, but very few can say they use 100% of the donations for the care of their rescues. At Beckys Hope Horse Rescue, no one takes a salary or compensation of any kind. The animals receive rehabilitation and ongoing care from a team of dedicated and loving volunteers. All animals are welcome; Beckys Hope has rescued horses, donkeys, chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, cats, dogs, etc. Many are re-homed and the rest have a forever home at Beckys Hope. A wonderful organization making the world a better place. I adopted Cinderella and she has been a joy.

I adopted a pony from Becky's Hope Horse Rescue. I could see that it is a wonderful place with kind and caring volunteers to take care of all the animals. Even though the name suggests horses, they rescue everything - horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, goats, etc. Before you buy a new family member, consider adopting from Becky's Hope. You'll be glad you did. If you're not expanding your family right now, consider a financial donation. 100% goes to the care of the animals, as there are no paid employees.
