Carolyn at Bear Creek Rescue saved two Great Pyrenees she renamed Rio and Lobo. They were Sherriff seizures because they were being starved and had logging chains around their necks. I found them at Bear Creek Rescue in 2009 via Petfinder. I had to have those boys!! My husband and I drove in February, from Northern California to Aurora, CO to get our Rio and Lobo. Carolyn took them to Winding River Kennels in Kansas City MO where the boys spent the night together. They were bonded loving brothers!! From KC they were picked up by CARE, Colorado Animal Rescue Express. They pull breeds from kill shelters and get them to a hub where breed rescues take them. We were the only owner pick up. Linda with CARE let Lobo ride shotgun and said he was the best copilot. When I saw my boys I cried tears if love and joy!! And that is exactly what those two sweethearts gave me...love and joy; along with protection for me, my family, pets and livestock on our farm. Sadly, I lost Rio, my lion dog in 2016 to heart failure. I write this now because I just lost my sweet Lobo, the love of my life, on Valentine's day. He had cancer and I chose Valentine's day to honor him in his passing. I hope, Carolyn, you find and read this because I want you to know how very much those two boys were loved and just how much love they gave us!! There is nothing like a Great Pyrenees!!!
