In July 2018, I had the pleasure of visiting Beagles and Buddies with my sisters to experience
my first adoption of our two dogs, Leo and Henry. The personnel there made the day go
very smoothly and were very helpful in introducing us to the right dogs that would fit our
personalities and needs.
The facilities are very welcoming and we could see immediately that all the animals were
well cared for and having a fun day interacting with each other. While the decision could
have been difficult to make, since there were many wonderful candidates, I was impressed
with the staff and their knowledge of every dog and their personalities.
Leo and Henry have been with us in Sun City West, AZ, for over a month now and know that they are home. We are so happy to have them in our lives. I would definitely recommend
Beagles and Buddies to anyone I meet and encourage them to consider a rescue dog. They are the best!!

I searched their website for dogs before coming in on a Friday morning to meet and greet. The staff was very accommodating and attentive, the facilities were clean and set up very nicely. I returned the next day to pick up my pup and had to wait for a bit due to a vet trip that hadn't been checked off the list yet and was able to relax comfortably and play with other dogs while I waited. I have recommended Beagles and Buddies to all of my friends!

I have been adopting from Beagle and Buddies since 1994. I don't know how they do it. They have saved so many dogs in that time. I just recently adopted 2 new beagles there. The staff is amazing. They knew so much about the dogs in their care, they were able to guide me through the shelter to the dogs that were meant to be mine. All of the dogs, even the ones that are still having issues, are healthy and happy. There is no doubt they are well-taken-care -of.
I brought my 2 sisters with me who have never visited a rescue. They were both amazed at the professionalism of the staff. With almost 100 dogs, they still remain calm and courteous walking you through. While the dogs bark and bay all around.
My beagles are settled and instantly part of the family. They are wonderful.

Beagles and Buddies has provided me with the two bestest friends I ever had. First we got a lemon beagle, Ginny, that was twelve years old, we took her because she was old and we figured she would not live long and we could provide her with a nice home for her senior years. Wrong! She lived 9 years and was a source of love and joy to all the members of our family. Then tragedy struck, and our 19 year old son died unexpectedly, what do you do to survive a loss like that? We turned to Beagles and Buddies, we adopted a daushand yorkie mix (dorkie) “Little Dog” . That little dog stayed by my side through all those endless sleepless nights of loss and sorrow. I thank God for an organization like Beagles and Buddies where one can find a friend for life. If not for the tireless volunteers and organizers, these no kill shelters would not exist. I truly believe rescue friends are the BEST friends!

I have had such a phenomenal experience when adopting my youngest pup from B&B. The staff were so friendly and I wanted to do more after seeing what great efforts go into caring for such a large facility. Thank you B&B and you are and wil always be a household name for my family and I.

The team at Beagles and Buddies are wonderful. They give exceptional service and really help the rescued homeless dogs around the clock. It is delightful to be a part of such a big mission and I encourage everyone in the community to come get involved. Projects and duties don't much seem like work when you are building relationships and cuddling those fur babies in need of our love.

We adopted our little Puggy Sue from this facility. The process was very informative and hearting. The love and care given to the animals is so obvious. The staff are an amazing group of people. Our Puggy Sue now has a forever home with us and Beagles and Buddies will always have a spot in our heart as well.

We, unfortunately, had to give up our eight year old beagle (Ginger) after we had to move in with our elderly mother-in-law and Ginger's food aggression became unmanageable around other dogs. The B&B team was informed, compassionate, and professional while we went through the emotional process of giving up the dog we love. Ginger has a new home more suitable for her personality, and we feel much better knowing that even though we no longer have her, she is loved and cared for. B&B provides a valuable service that is humane to both pets and their human family members!

Four of our six rescues we have adopted over the years have come from Beagles and Buddies. Nora, our 15 year old beagle, was our first adoption from B&B when they were in El Monte. They moved up to our home town, Apple Valley, a few years ago. We adopted Hunter about 2 and a half years ago and when he passed we adopted Lucy. Then we recently adopted our big boy,Gus, from Beagles and Buddies, so our high energy Lucy would have someone to play with.
Connie does a great job finding homes for these hounds and buddies. Connie, the volunteers staff, and various service groups all help to keep this wonderful organization going.

Beagles and Buddies is managed by a strong and sensible woman, Connie Kramer. Her compassion along with her managerial skills make for a very successful, well-run dog-rescue facility with a high rate of placement for the dogs in her care.

I have been a contributor to Beagles and Buddies for over a decade since I adopted my first dog from them. I'm impressed that Ms. Kramer not only makes good use of her staff and volunteers, but also that she has the business skills to allocate the monetary donations wisely. Every donation goes toward feeding and medical care or upgrading the facilities to make the sanctuary a clean and comfortable living space for the dogs.

Some rescue shelters seem to do everything in their power to KEEP a person from adopting a dog. B & B takes the opposite position and devises strategies to help a person through the adoption and home adjustment process.

Staff and volunteers recognize the importance of "socialization" for animals and work with the dogs until they are ready to be adopted into their "forever home." They get to know each canine in their care and make helpful suggestions so that the placement will work for both dogs and people. All our Beagles and Buddies rescue dogs have been such delightful additions to our family.

Connie Kramer runs Beagles and Buddies. She is tireless and has devoted her life to the care of animals in need. I reached out to her when I saw a dog in another shelter that was in dire shape.
She stepped u to the call for help. Since then, I've come to respect and admire her as she has a relationship with dogs that is remarkable. I even started volunteering for Beagles and Buddies for several years because I felt I could learn a lot about what is involved in running a rescue.

I cannot believe how out of their way B&B goes to help out dogs who need it - they do everything humanly possible. They have saved THOUSANDS of dogs since their start in 1992. I have seen many dogs come in from terrible places and go out to a wonderful home. It's a beautiful place to be!

Beagles & Buddies has been rescuing dogs for many years. Their Apple Valley facility is large with plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. All types of dogs are rescued so if you are looking to adopt, you have lots to choose from. Many are rescued from the kill shelters just before their time is up. B&B is a no-kill shelter.
