As a senior now in college, I have watched Beaches Go Green over the years continue to grow into an incredibly impactful organization in our community. If you have any love and care for our beautiful environment, BGG is the organization to be apart of to pour your love and care into!
I absolutely adore BGG with my entire heart. It is a non-profit that goes out into the community to educate others about the harms of single use plastic. They have clubs at various schools along with community wide events. I joined my freshman year of high school and found a new passion of mine. I began to get more and more involved and became one of the presidents my junior and senior year. Everything that BGG teaches is incredibly important and they truly want you to begin to grow on your own and begin to care. There are so many lessons and information to learn from. I had access to so many opportunities through BGG. I owe BGG so much for helping me find my passion and growing as a person. I highly recommend this organization to everyone!
Beaches go green has been such a life changing organization! It has grown to teach me and those closest to me that our environment needs help! This nonprofit has benefited and changed my life in ways unimaginable and deserves to be more wide known! Thank you beaches go green
I am a senior at Tocoi Creek High School and have been involved in Beaches Go Green for three years. This is one of the most impactful and amazing clubs I have been a part of because it has taught me so much about the steps I personally can take in order to help the environment!
Beaches Go Green has been an incredibly rewarding experience! It feels great to be involved in an organization that works diligently to help better our environment and community. Through Beaches Go Green I have learned so much about the importance of taking care of the environment and practicing sustainability at all times. I have had countless opportunities to collaborate with individuals who truly are so passionate in their efforts towards raising awareness and inspiring others to make a difference. The dedication Beaches Go Green members have truly does not go unnoticed in their contributions towards our community!
Beaches Go Green has vastly widened my knowledge of the environment and how we can all work to support it together!! It has been so much fun being a part of the organization for the past 3 years, as I learn something new with each event and meeting! From the things i have learned, I believe i have been able to become a more environmentally conscious and sustainable consumer! Beaches Go Green has taught me that the little changes we all make together can make a big impact, and that’s really exciting!!
Beaches Go Green has been a wonderful experience for me. I have learned many new things about helping our environment and keeping our world clean. I have also got to experience helping our community by cleaning up beaches and volunteering for different schools.
Being a member of the Beaches Go Green Club has been an incredible experience! This organization is truly dedicated to educating and inspiring communities to make more sustainable choices. From beach cleanups to informative events, they provide so many opportunities to get involved and make a real difference.
Beaches Go Green has allowed me to benefit my community while working with my friends and having fun. We haveworked toward raising awareness on enviornmental issues through social media, beach cleanups, and our Deck The Chairs event. I'm truly so glad to be a part of this club!
Beaches go green has been a fun and liberating experience. Working with people from all different backgrounds doing what I love, cleaning our earth, but mainly our beaches
Beaches Go Green is a fun and exciting club to be in, everyone is very welcoming and nice to everyone and all of the events that happen are super fun and really overall just a great club.
Beaches Go Green is a wonderful nonprofit, that focuses on the environment. It is a great way to meet new people, learn how to be a better citizen of the world, and have fun! The lady who runs it is the sweetest and the people who run the updates all do amazing. Great club with fun service events and they stay true to the meaning of Going Green!
Through my hours of volunteering through Beaches Go Green I have met different people and made new connections, while earning community service hours. Volunteering for Beaches Go Green has exceeded my expectations for a club and has provided me with the opportunity to learn more about the environment. I have found all of the community service events exciting and nice! Beaches Go Green will provide all volunteers with food and drinks as well! I hope to see more exciting events come along!
I joined Beaches Go Green because I wanted to make a tangible difference in our community's environmental health. This organization is incredible at raising awareness about the importance of sustainability and reducing plastic waste. Through educational programs, clean-up events, and community outreach, Beaches Go Green empowers individuals to take action for a cleaner, greener future. It's inspiring to see how collective efforts can lead to significant positive changes, and I'm proud to be part of a group that truly cares about preserving our beautiful beaches and natural resources.
I joined beaches go green because when I would talk about environmental issues I cared about people wouldn’t know what I’m talking about. I found that even people that live at the beach were severely uneducated about the fragile ecosystem they encounter everyday. I wanted to spread the word on sustainable practices and environmental issue awareness.
I joined Beaches Go Green during my sophomore year of high school, I loved volunteering with the club, doing cleanups, educating the public, and just fostering care for the environment in any way possible. It helped me strengthen my self identity by confirming within myself that I fit in in the environmental protection scene. That reassurance helped me decide what future I wanted to pursue, and I am now in my freshman year of college pursuing a degree in Environmental Science. Part of the reason I was even able to go to college was through a scholarship provided to me through the Beaches Go Green foundation. I love this nonprofit and everything they stand for, and I truly believe it is something everyone should get involved with.
I joined beaches go green this year and have had a wonderful time while in the club. The club has taught me a lot more about the environment and how we can try to improve it by doing cleanups, discussing pollution, and how we can make changes ever day to improve your carbon footprint. This club has taught me a lot and I believe it can teach many other much more about our world and how we can try to help it.
Beaches Go Green is such an amazing and inspiring nonprofit organization. This club at my high school helped me get involved in the community and really helped me understand how I can make a difference. Through BGG, I was not only able to gain valuable insight about our environment, I also found leadership opportunities and developed skills that I will continue to use going forward. Being a part of this club shaped my passion for wanting to be a part of change in our world and I know it helped many others do the same.
THIS CLUB IS AMAZING!! I have been involved in BGG for about three years and it has helped me become more cautious about my waste and helping the Earth. I have also helped the people in my life understand how to help make a difference, this club has taught me and so many others understand how to help our community!!
Beaches Go Green does AMAZING things for the community! We put on countless community clean ups and put on great educational events throughout the year for all different ages. I was a BGG scholarship recipient to reward my work in the community during high school and get me set up to make a difference when i moved away to college, and I cannot thank this organization enough. My favorite thing I did with Beaches go green was leading a presentation for elementary schoolers and eventually a fun video series shown at the schools to educate our youth- they are the future!!!
I first got involved with Beaches Go Green freshman year of high school and immediately I knew that it would change my life. Spending four years and eventually becoming president of my high school’s chapter, I was able to learn so much, get great hands on experience, and spread awareness to my community. Beaches Go Green is an amazing organization that makes it so easy and fun to get involved and better our environment and community!
Beaches go green has been an amazing nonprofit and club at my school. We have participated in many beach cleanups, organized campus cleanups, planted native species to attract native fauna, educated each other about being stewards for the earth and made new connections between students. My school's chapter of beaches go green has been beneficial to my high school experience and I am so happy to have been a part of it these past four years.
Great non-profit focused on the future, education and truly care about both the environment and those around their community! Great opportunities for kids to young adults to get involved and learn about the impacts our day to day choices make.
Beaches Go Green serves the community in a huge way by educating people about environmental issues and how individuals can have an impact! I have become so passionate about issues that have been highlighted by Beaches Go Green like plastic pollution, the impact of plastics/microplastics on our health, ways to reduce our waste, promote sustainibility, etc. I did not have much information on these topics before and believe BGG provides digestible information on how I can live better & help protect my environment. I have participated in Clean Ups and attended Eco Cinemas and am inspired to see how they are having an impact. As someone who cares tremendously about the Earth, it feels great to know that there is a powerful resource in my community who is expanding education on these topics and wants to create change!!
Beaches Go Green has completely transformed how I see my community and act as an individual. From education about plastic and trash solutions to implementing ACTIONABLE IMPACT, Beaches Go Green is more than an organization to raise awareness; it is a facilitator of empowering communities to do better for the planet and each other.
I've attended numerous community clean-ups and education events and have made little adjustments to my own life based on their teachings: bye-bye balloons, see ya plastic straws!, re-using plastic bags and/or stop using them/requesting them altogether, re-usable water bottles & bags, composting, gardening tips, voting with my wallet! And voting on people with the best interests of the people and planet in mind, especially on a community-centric level. I admire all involved with this organization; they have a deep passion for leaving this world better than we've found it for our children and our children's children.
It is important that people don’t forget how important taking care of our planet is and I believe beaches go green has helped to be a reminder. As a member we have helped clean the local community and promote the message of protecting the earth.
Beaches Go Green is such an impactful nonprofit in the Jacksonville area. Through my involvement in this club for the past 4 years I have learned so many ways to be a better steward of the Earth and be able to share my passion with others in the community. From meetings to beach cleanups, I have seen our small and large scale impacts made in the area.
Beaches Go Green has made a significant contribution to the environment and has informed many people on how we can help the environment. As a sophomore in high school, I have been involved in the club for two years and I have learned much about our anthropogenic activities. From our clothing to our food, there are many aspects of out daily lives that have environmental consequences, and Beaches Go Green strives to spread this information. In addition to informing the masses, Beaches Go Green directly helps to support the environment, through cleanups at the beach or at schools and even helping to spread and grow native plants. Beaches Go Green is an amazing club that deserves more recognition for all the work it does.
I have had the pleasure of volunteering with BeachesGoGreen a handful of times and I’m always amazed at the level of dedication and work that goes into not only the large events, but also community outreach, training and support. It is an impressive group of all ages and walks of life, passionate and committed to educating others and preserving the planet for future generations. Volunteers and staff work together as a team, in a fun environment, towards a common goal. I left each opportunity with more knowledge and a better understanding of the enormous undertaking and impact BGG has on conservation, preservation and education. If you are looking for a way to get involved or give back, make new friends with like-minded people and truly make a difference for generations to come, I highly encourage you to join the community and team at BGG.
Beaches Go Green is an amazing, grassroots organization. We have a chapter at our school and the students truly get to lead and run their chapter. The leadership training and all of the activities throughout the year are excellent can’t say enough good things.
Beaches Go Green has helped our local community very much by connecting student volunteers with community members who want to make a difference. This has helped create a movement that creates change everywhere it goes.
I love being a part of Beaches Go Green! I am currently a sophomore in high school and I honestly wish I found out about Beaches Go Green sooner. Cleaning up around campus, at beaches, and advocating for ways people can reduce their carbon footprint is imperative for our earth. Beaches Go Green has been such a fun experience for my friends and I, I enjoy volunteering with them inside or outside of school. We are having fun while contributing to a great cause. Thank you Beaches Go Green :)@
It’s so amazing to see an organization that links community members, local businesses and especially students together for the betterment of the earth! To be a part of the an event or volunteer opportunity with Beaches Go Green means being a part of the solution - from educational education events, installations and trainings, numerous beach clean ups, and student-led clubs - BGG encourages and teaches all stakeholders how to be stewards of the earth. I hope to see the mission spread and scope grow because I’ve witnessed firsthand how impactful and inspiring the organization has been to locals, particularly the next generation of action-oriented members of society - our youth!
This organization has done incredible things for our city, here in Jacksonville. Before beaches go green, there was no education or awareness being raised in our area about the dangers of single use plastics on our environment. They are doing a great job at educating kids and the community to do better each and every day to reduce plastic use in a fun and interactive way. I’ve volunteered with them a number of times & I always leave fulfilled, excited and educated. Thanks to beaches go green, our community is learning and we are taking action for our community, the environment and the planet!
Our family is always eager to get to the next BGG event! The events are always super organized and well planned. Of course the annual favorite is the Jellyfish garden at Deck the Chairs in Jacksonville Beach, but really all of the clean-ups are a great opportunity for kids and teens to be involved!
We also LOOOOOVE how impactful BGG has been in helping local restaurants and venues move away from single use plastics! Helping restaurants and venues with this transition to better "to-go" and other paper products is such a gift to our community.
THANK YOU Beaches Go Green for being such an impactful and inspiring non-profit!
With the climate crisis becoming more & more of an issue it is important to have organizations such as Beaches Go Green in our communities. They take a grassroots approach to education & sustainability. I have learned so much from this organization and have seen them bring together the beaches community. Not only do they provide great education but their events are always a great time. I look forward to volunteering each time.
Beaches Go Green is an incredible nonprofit organization that works tirelessly to educate youth, community, and business on single plastic use. I've learned a lot through this organization, implemented best practices for my family, and I enjoyed volunteering with my boys.
An irresistible force that WILL change (for the better) how we treat our planet. Beaches Go Green is built on the absolute truth that we need to do a better job in how we handle our earth. Their commitment to educating and outreach in the advancement of positive change has been demonstrated hundreds of times on the local and national level. BGG operates at the highest level of interest and integrity. The founder, Anne Marie Moguin leads with a simple but very honest "knowledge is power mantra" in order to bring about the changes in our risky behaviors. BGG really does see our generation changing attitudes so that we leave the world a better place for our children. I am honored to know the founder and privileged to work alongside BGG.
Beaches Go Green has not only made a physical difference in the community, by cleaning up numerous beaches, but they have also educated the community at school presentations, city hall meetings, and the annual Deck the Chairs event. After learning about the detrimental impact that single-use plastic has on the environment, I have changed my habits and I am now educating others around me. BGG leads by example and creates awareness about the importance of sustainable products, recycling, and cleaning up the environment. Such an important organization that continues to do great work in their community!
I have learned so much from Beaches Go Green! BGG has set the standard in creating awareness and educating the public on the harmful effects of single use plastic. They work tirelessly to create positive change not only for our community but for everyone. I love how they are empowering our youth with their BGG school clubs, these kids are getting it and it all stems from the passion BGG instills in us all to "Be the Change" we wish to see in the world. Thank you BGG for all that you have taught me and for all the opportunities to help our planet.
What a great organization that believes in doing whats right for this planet, both locally and globally.
Beaches Go Green has changed the way I look at single use plastics and recycling! Spreading awareness and reaching the community through youth outreach, fun free family events and clean up opportunities, this group has endless energy and passion! The influence and impact on how residents and businesses in our area alike, handle recycling, has been enlightening! I love Beaches Go Green!
Beaches Go Green continues to educate and inspire. Their mission is to create awareness and provide education around the waste that we produce and how it impacts our planet. This is demonstrated in each event and educational program they participate in. Their message is comprehensive and encourages people to make small changes...achievable changes, that impact our planet in big ways.
Keep it going BGG...Be The Change!
BGG will save our beaches!! The goal is to educate and spread awareness, and her message has caught like wildfire. Her selfless dedication to the cause inspires everyone around her to spread what she has to say. She has created a small army of environmental activists so that every single person can fight to save our beaches. Refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle! Start fighting for the health of our planet
Beaches Go Green has really opened my eyes on ways to help reduce everyday plastic use . The organization is helping raise awareness in our youth by teaching kids in our local schools how long single use plastics stay around after they are used for a short time .
Beaches Go Green not only advocates for its mission and educates our community, they provide the tools and resources to make their vision a reality in our community. Ann Marie and Beaches Go Green has been a business partner at Ponte Vedra High School and just this year donated reusable water bottles to all of our athletes. Our school’s desire is to do all we can for our environment, and Beaches Go Green’s support helps make that happen!
Beaches Go Green is a great part of our community that constantly reminds us to do our part! They have great events that make sure we keep our home safe, clean, and environmentally friendly! BGG is becoming a mainstay in on our little shore and we all love it.
Beaches Go Green partners with students and adults in a meaningful way to educate them about how simple changes in our lives have a huge environmental impact. I have worked closely with this organization since almost its inception. They are tireless, dedicated, and informed ... and their student-friendly education is not only impactful, but also engages our entire community. Kudos to them and keep up the great work.
Beaches Go Green is an amazing nonprofit founded to spread educational awareness about the environment and inspire change. From day one, they have done a terrific job getting people to take a look at the waste they produce and make a change. Working and volunteering with Beaches Go Green has been an amazing experience and I feel that by working with them, I am inspiring people to do good and really make a difference in the world.
Our only hope for a healthier planet is to teach people about the dangers of pollution. Beaches Go Green has been a champion for our community. From their city hall meetings, through their "movies that matter" to their clubs in local schools, BGG has gone to great lengths to educate young and old. They are a true asset to the greater Jacksonville area and are certainly "making a change" in this world.
Beaches Go Green is our local communities best asset! BGG has done an incredible job of informing and educating our community on more sustainable environmental practices through education and awareness. They host multiple trash clean ups throughout the year, they have installed a incredibly creative single-use plastic awareness art installation at our local Deck the Chairs event, and they are engaged in local schools and have even started a "be the change" series which partners with local schools to provides environmental education and active service with youth in the area. We are so grateful to have Beaches Go Green serving in our local community!
Beaches Go Green has changed the role I approach cooking, shopping, and basically all things I do in life. I have become SO incredibly passionate about sharing the eco-friendly love thanks to my time volunteering with Beaches Go Green! I love that education for all ages is a high priority with Anne Marie and her team. She is such a force of nature and is doing so many incredible things not only for her community but for the planet. She and the sustainability movement is a force to be reckoned with!
I volunteer often with Beaches Go Green and I love the education provided by them to our community! I have learned so much and have been able to share the knowledge with many around me.
This organization is focused on real information that affects our planet today and how we can actually help individually and as a united front. So important for us all.
We have partnered with BGG on several events and it’s always a great time. Their volunteers are always enthusiastic, thoughtful and well informed. We always look forward to our next event with them.
The first time I was introduced to Beaches Go Green I wanted to be a part of their work. The organization mirrors my personal innate desire to protect the planet (especially the oceans) from single-use plastic and educate the population that hasn't grasped the idea of sustainability. Thank you, Anne Marie and BGG!
Personally I have watched in amazement and awe at the Tsunami of action that has taken place to build Beaches Go Green as a well respected environmental awareness and education program in our local beach community. Anne Marie Moquin, founder and heart beat behind this mammoth effort is relentless in her quest to Be the Change! Our entire beach community have taken notice and have become action oriented in helping in whatever manner possible. Some of us have donated our time and effort while others have donated money to this charitable foundation because Beaches Go Green displays the best of what we can do if we come together as a community, young and old to Be the Change.
Anne Marie defies the small hometown limitations and skillfully teams with volunteers who run, keep overhead unusually low, build community connections, and make a visible difference not only in our local beach community but throughout our region. There are serious challenges ahead: a warming climate, unprecedented levels of plastic pollution, and powerful special interests undermining basic protections. There’s no time to waste in coming together for new solutions—which is why Beaches Go Green is bringing people together to build the most exciting and effective environmental movement our local beach community has ever seen.
Anne Marie knows that actions speak louder than words and that we need to start first with our youth who will inherit that which we as responsible adults leave behind. Beaches Go Green wants to do more than just educate in traditional settings but has laid the foundation for young and old to work side by side or independently on those issues that matter most to them! That’s why they have built a expanded local community of volunteers, advocates, and grassroots activists, young and old, who show up when and where it counts. Beaches Go Green supporters have the tools and resources to make themselves heard all throughout our school districts and in every local business and governmental agency that serves our community.
Are you ready to Be the Change!
Beaches Go Green is a wonderful organization that has not only cleaned up our beaches and public areas, but has educated our community about the need for more sustainable options in the personal and private business realms. The founder AnnMarie Moquin works tirelessly to work towards a greener Jacksonville Beaches community.
