I like that this track program focuses on introducing kids to the sport and takes pride in teaching the fundamentals and mechanics of a variety of jumping and running events. Love that year-round availability of private coaching, specialized event training and athlete development. Impressed with how they incorporate speed, endurance, agility, strength, core, balance, coordination, and mental toughness in their training programs. Nothing like that in any youth sport program. Well worth the investment.
Great hurdler development training and coach by Coach Rich. My son has training with him and a group of hurdlers from 4 different high schools who has participated in his program. My son's hurdling technique and speed improved, and his 110m time improved by 2 seconds in 1 month. Every practice is a results-driven practice environment, and the kids love it.
Love the year-round training and development programs for middle school kids who do not have a track and field or cross-country running sport in school. Kids who participate in this program or private coaching are ready to compete at the varsity level as 8th and 9th graders.
Love the experience as a volunteer with this club and under Coach Rich. Need more volunteers, especially at different training locations for kids that live in different coastal cities and drive as far as from NMB, Loris to Pawleys Island just to be trained in this program. If you have 2 hours one day or two days a week to volunteer in Spring or Summer, reach out.
My two boys 10 and 12 love this coaching and training environment versus their soccer or basketball ones. The kids actually learned something new every practice. Though some sessions are challenging and intense, the coach is patient and tolerant of different learning curves and is great working with younger and older kids. As a military veteran myself, I salute Coach Richardson, an Air Force Veteran - he's a true veteran of the sport as well.
Coach Rich does a wonderful job coaching and developing beginner to advanced hurdlers. I've watched him train and develop the best youth and high school hurdlers in the city, county and state. My daughter learned to run 80m hurdles at age 12, qualified Top 6 in SC USATF Jr Olympics, top 10 in USATF Regions, and made the semi-finals at National Championships. In high school by age 17 she won 100m hurdles championships 3 years in a row.
Great all-around running and fitness conditioning program for kids who want to learn a new sport or athletes who need to develop or improve certain athletic skills for other sports they do. My son really likes that he can play one sport and do multiple events unlike any other sport.
As an AAU basketball and youth football coach, I was referred to this clubs' sports performance development program and never knew how important it was to incorporate balance, coordination, rhythm, reaction, explosion in unilateral movement, game speed and endurance in our training and conditioning until I watched my athletes progress in their sport skills and elevate their game skills from a 1 hr., 1-2 day a 4-to-6-week program.
Well coached athletes, elite level and award-winning coaches. Club, athlete, and coaching accomplishments speak for themselves. I love watching these athletes progress in their development, especially those high school athletes who were developed early as youth athletes in the summer track program or are participate in One-on-One or private coaching sessions in pre-season and off-season.
We have a 12-year-old daughter who just started running JV track and x-country in high school, and we wanted to get her in a more formal training program because we believe she has a lot of talent and Coach Richardson's record and long-time history of success developing young athletes and improving their performances significantly has proven to be a rewarding decision and experience. She's developed a great deal of personal and physical confidence, loves going to and learning something new every practice, her attitude and grades have improved, and can actually run faster than some of the good high school kids.
I've referred several football, lacrosse, and soccer athletes to their athlete performance development program to increase their speed, acceleration, agility, endurance capacity as well as their sprint and change of direction mechanics. Significant improvements in each athlete's performance in their respective sport. Faster 20 and 40, quicker footwork. Not just a track or running club. Definitely the best all-sport athlete performance development program local.
A great youth development program for beginner to advanced athletes. My kids learned more in 2 months of summer track than in 2 years in high school. Head Coach Rich is professional, extremely knowledgeable, great with the kids, and runs one of the best programs in the state.
The instruction, learning and coaching environment is adapted to meet the needs of every athlete - and in all age groups both boys and girls. The training programs are well structured, the kids enjoy the different physical activities, are challenged, and they have fun. A Top notch youth sports program. Impressive!
