Be The Village has made sure that in my journey as a foster mom I have felt supported and cared about. No matter what the fostering journey brought our way BTV has been there for us. In the beginning when it was supplies we needed and were overwhelmed by all we'd taken on. Or when our littles went to their bio mom and the ways they helped us navigate those emotions and feel supported.
I cannot say Bethe Village has done anything for me personally but I have watched what this group has contributed to our community. I belong to a woman's group and they came and spoke about the things the group does. We had a lot of interested ladies who inquired as to how we can help. Be The Village has shown children in the area there are people who care about their well being. It has been a great pleasure to watch the group help in so many ways, from new shoes to backpacks with school supplies. I will continue to support them in the future for all the great things they have done
As a worker with a private child placing agency, I’ve seen Be the Village help many families. They help in the form of training, giving much needed emotional support, and providing material goods. They are a wonderful group of people with very caring leaders. A real asset to our community.
I believe in this organization and what they’re doing fore the community. I referred a client and they immediately assisted her teen in foster care. Also the events I’ve attended have been great. A few years ago I was giving to another charity and stopped because of lack of transparency. BTV is transparent, sends annual notices and has a sit down coffee day for questions. There’s so much more but if you’re looking for a great non profit, look no further Be The Village is the best.
I am very involved in my community and I have witnessed the impact The Be The Village has on families. They are the most giving and caring organization I have had the privilege of witnessing in my community.
I have seen this organization put their heart and soul into supporting the foster care system and making it better for children and caregivers. They truly love the children and have great empathy for the caregivers.
This group is amazing! The things they do for the foster/adoptive community in multiple counties is unlike any other. My favorite thing is their Dwell Retreat they hold each year for foster/adoptive mamas. They bring us all together for a weekend filled with training, fun, rest, and Jesus. No matter where you are in your journey, they have something for you.
As a Social Worker, there are often children who come into foster care with nothing. Be The Village has been our #1 resource that ensures children have what they need during a difficult time in their lives. This non-profit organization has been an amazing resource for our community.
Be the Village actually started the year we first brought our son home to join our family. We went through the process backwards and was given a child and then had to be certified to adopt. We had no training or much idea about how trauma impacted a child. Be the Village offered free training for foster and adoptive parents and it made a huge impact on helping us to know how to parent our adopted child. This group helped us connect with other families who had also adopted and understood the challenges we faced. They offered free family photos and captured our growing family when we got 2 fictive kin placement. I am so appreciative for this organization and everything they have done for my family.
I volunteered with this AMAZING non-profit my senior year and absolutely loved it! Being able to pray over each and every care pack (packs for families that were receiving kids or being reunited with their families) that was going to kinship, adoptive, or foster families was a time in my life that I will always consider something that made me want to study social work now, have such a heart for these families, and continue to pray for these families.
Be the Village help us tremendously! When I first got custody of a child they made sure to give her a care package with everything she needed to get started. They even helped with a bed. Be the village always goes out of there way to help every family possible. Christmas is a blessing we would never make it work without the help of them! We are so thankful for them! Our girl is now 13 and tells everyone how much be the village helped her get started with her new life!
Be the Village has been instrumental in my journey as a foster and adoptive mom. The resources, events and compassion offered by the organization has impacted our family in so many helpful ways. I am so very thankful for their team.
When I lost my sister and gained custody of my two year old nephew- I had absolutely nothing. Within days- Be The Village supplied me with clothes, diapers, a bed, blankets, toothbrushes and so much more for him. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of this organization. They change lives, they make such a difference in our community. They definitely made an unimaginable situation so much easier for our family.
As a foster parent, it is so easy to get in financial trouble the first couple months with a new placement... when the call comes you may only have an hour to get ready and it can scare you into saying no. Be the Village means we don't have to fear saying yes. They helped my family quickly with age appropriate gear and clothing of better quality than I expected, along with support and prayers. We are so grateful. Definitely recommend.
Be the Village stepped up when I got a call to pick up two sweet littles. A volunteer went to the resource center and hand picked clothes, cozy blankets, stuffed animals, and other items that she carefully packed into duffles for the kids. She even included a gift card allowing us to grab dinner their first night here! It was a great reminder that we are not alone!!
