Be The Difference Foundation was created by ovarian cancer survivors for ovarian cancer survivors. They strive everyday to "be the difference" for all families facing this horrible disease. I am blessed to get to work with a great group of people on their board, in the field and online!
I love volunteering for Be The Difference Foundation. The work they do is so important to women fighting ovarian cancer and they give hope to those women and their families!
I rode in my first Wheel to Survive fundraiser this past year and it was very emotional! Seeing all of the great work Be The Difference does in the fight against ovarian cancer was and continues to be inspiring. I plan to ride every year going forward and hope I can make a difference in the lives of women fighting this disease.
I'm a big fan of Be The Difference Foundation. They do such amazing work and I'm proud of all they've accomplishments!
Great organization with lofty goals to defeat ovarian cancer. Founded by and led by 3 ovarian cancer survivors who continue to tirelessly work to seek new and innovative ways to battle this disease.
I have only been involved with the organization for less than a year and continue to be amazed by the work they have done and continue to do!
It is such an honor to help women fighting ovarian cancer with the funds raised by Be the Differnce Foundation. In such a short time, 4 survivors have reached so many people, raised over $2.5 million and continue to provide support of research, clinical trials and guidance. This is one of the best organizations I have ever been connected with.
Be The Difference Foundation supports women and their families in their fight against ovarian cancer. BTDF is working toward a future where ovarian cancer is a chronic rather than deadly diseases. BTDF has only one full-time employee supported by a hands-on working board.
Be The Difference does so much more than fundraise for research. We create awareness by speaking to groups and telling our stories with Survivors Teaching Students. We reach out to help patients and survivors; we hold hands and talk to families;
and we are always looking for new ways to help families understand ovarian cancer and learn the signs and symptoms of this insidious disease.
I volunteer for Wheel to Survive every year to help with event set up and tear down. Everyone at Be the Difference is so great to work with and treats all people with the most respect. They never fail to let me know that volunteers are the lifeblood of their organization and they keep in touch with me it seems like almost weekly, eventhough the event is an annual event. I am so thrilled to help them in any way I can!
Be the Difference Foundation has meant so much to me and to so many of my friends who have been affected by ovarian cancer. The vision of the co-founders, who are all survivors to create the Foundation for survivors just goes to show how they want to truly make a difference in the fight against this terrible disease.
Being a part of this great organization as a board member and volunteer, I admire this amazing group of people each and everyday for their passion, their drive and their goal to cure each and every ovarian cancer patient and make them survivors!
My husband & I moved to Frisco, Texas in 2013 from Florida. We didn't know many people in Frisco & since we were used to volunteering our time in non-profits we felt out of sorts in this new community. We first heard about Be The Difference Foundation when our niece told us that she was going to be in a cycling event In Boca Raton, Florida to raise monies for Ovarian Cancer. We had not heard of this organization & we were shocked when she told us they were based in Dallas, Texas--only a few miles from where we had moved to! This was a bit eerie as our niece was participating in the cycling event in honor of her mother (my sister) who passed away from Ovarian Cancer. Was this my sister trying to tell us something ?? After meeting Shannon Albert & Jon Mize, we knew instantly this was where we wanted to direct our energies. They both were very welcoming & we were impressed with their passion for bringing awareness to women and men about Ovarian Cancer. Plus, Jon told us he was in constant contact with our niece as he was helping her organize the Florida event. Another eerie moment. From then on we have been hooked! We started volunteering at the Dallas Wheel To Survive and will continue to help the organization in every way we can. And huge thank yous to Jill, Julie, Lynn & Helen for your courage, vision & tenacity in forming this wonderful foundation that is not only helping bring awareness about Ovarian Cancer but also aids those who are fighting this difficult disease.
I'm beyond proud to be a part of such an incredible organization as Be The Difference Foundation. Their mission is to create awareness and improve the lives of all people affected by ovarian cancer through education, support and research....and I believe they do just that!
Be the Difference Foundation is amazing. This organization is always asking, What can I do, How can I help, How can I make someone's life better?? Selfless and compassionate best describes BTDF and their goals. BTDF works tirelessly trying to raise money to help others in every way possible that have been faced with a life threatening disease.
There are thousands of non-profits out there and each and every one wants your money and your time. The money part is relatively easy; just fill in an amount and click.
The giving of your valuable time is a different story. You only have so much time to give and you want to spend it wisely. Be The Difference Foundation is an organization that has a mission that hits home for us personally and that connection has led us to devoting as much time as possible to spreading the word about ovarian cancer awareness and testing. And working with Shannon Albert and Jon Mize and their battalion of volunteers makes getting the message to the masses that much easier.
And together we are making a difference.
Be The Difference Foundation is an amazing organization that funds research, builds awareness on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and much more. They partner with other nonprofits to increase there reach and truly make a difference in the fight against this awful disease. There Board and leadership team are all equally engaged in the fight against ovarian cancer.
I have volunteered several times for events and event prep & am continually impressed with both the staff & board member involvement. You can see how passionate everyone is about the mission.
I feel very fortunate to have found Be The Difference Foundation. I've been with the organization for a year now. After losing my partner to ovarian cancer I was thrilled to find such a passionate group of people who truly care about the mission of the organization.
I have participated in BTDF's Wheel to Survive since 2014. The event is amazing, and the volunteers do an awesome job of putting it all together! Seeing so many ovarian cancer survivors (some currently battling the disease) is very powerful. The guest instructors are encouraging and the hours just fly by. I would highly recommend support for Wheel to Survive as 100% of the dollars raised by participants goes directly to research and clinical trials to help women fight ovarian cancer.
