Mission: Hunger impacts a child’s ability to learn. Snack Pak 4 Kids - San Antonio (SP4K-SA) provides weekly food supplements to serve the needs of chronically hungry children, addressing the relationship between food insecurity and learning.
Results: Over 70% of teachers surveyed annually tell us the program helps the students receiving weekly Snack Paks to improve their behavior, attendance, concentration, participation and ability to learn during the school week.

Programs: 11-13 name brand, brand new snack items provided to students each and every Friday. These students are identified by their teachers as needing weekend nutritional resources. Bags are discreetly placed in the child's own backpack or locker when other students are not present. Our program is focused on dignity and respect for the recipient, by assuring quality and consistency.
This is a wonderful non-profit that benefits the hungry children in San Antonio. They are volunteer driven and our volunteers are what make snack pak so great. To see our community rally around the needs of our kids is truly a blessing.

Snack Pak 4 Kids SA is a wonderful organization serving the needs of hungry children in their community. They offer volunteer opportunities every month for all ages and abilities. Volunteers can help assemble Snack Paks at the warehouse, help with the monthly delivery to schools or even work with a school to distribute these Snack Paks to teachers classrooms.
Snack Pak 4 Kids is instrumental in mitigating the problem of weekend hunger for students in San Antonio. Studies prove what we all know: if a person's basic needs aren't met, they can't thrive. By ensuring that children have access to nutritious, consistent food over the weekends, holidays and summer, SP4K is helping set students up for academic success.
Snack Pak is a great organization providing chronically hungry school children with healthy food for the weekends. If you are interested in helping out I would encourage you to attend one of our monthly packs. They are extremely well organized and you will be busy from the time you walk in the door until you leave an hour or so later. Young children are welcome also, so it’s a great way to introduce your children or grandchildren to the concept of “giving back to our community”. There are also opportunities to help deliver the food totes to the schools once a month. Come join us and learn about our program and volunteering opportunities.
