Causes: Arts & Culture, Bands & Ensembles
Mission: Recreation and education of music for all ages through practice and performances of band music
Programs: Gave three musical concerts in the thibodaux, la area free and open to the public. Held rehearsals for these concerts during 10 of 12 months in 2013 that combined recreational playing and education for volunteer band members. Offshoots of the band in small groups performed several times pro bono for small groups in the community. Band includes teens to retirees. No audition needed to play in the band, open to anyone who comes. Concert attendance numbers range from 100 to 300 persons. The band averaged 50 to 60 members per concert.
