Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: Mission statement:to assist women, children, and families in transitional periods oftheir lives, with a special emphasis on residents of san francisco'stenderloin neighborhood; and to do local and citywide educational workon the issues that are critical to this target population. Theorganization serves as a multi-faceted resource center for low incomewomen, children, and families.
Programs: Services for women, children, & families - provided direct services for women and families who can't supply their basic needs of shelter, food, clothing, etc. Also provided referrals in areas of child care, employment, on the job training, housing, peer support, and other areas. Also conducted a parent/child program, a food pantry, a youth sports program, and many other programs for children.
community projects / advocacy program - initiate and sponsor long term community projects related to women, children, and families.
tenderloin family center and school - initiate and sponsor programs related to the school and family center in the tenderloin district.
